Chapter-20

THE DAY OF THE WEDDING

I woke up with a bang on the door and I realised it was the day of my wedding. The final hours, waking up still in my last night's clothes, with almost empty bottle in my hand. I rub my eyes and walked towards the door.

It was everyone, mother, grandmother, stylist, Stacey all hungover and finally Veni (wedding planner). Everyone sat me down, my mother made a strong cup of coffee for me and stacey, and we gulped it down. We both freshened up, bathed, cleaned up, stacey first then me.
While I was in the bath, Stacey would be all styled up and then it was my time.

While in bath I wondered all about, what will happen? What if i say I don't want to marry ben? What if..?? My thoughts got all disturbed, when a bang came on the door. My mother all worried about being late and we didn't have much time left, only 2 hours before the wedding.

I got out, the stylist started styling me, doing my make up first, as my hair dried, a light make up with a heavy eye and nude lips. The hair were done later. A high tight bun, to support the veil and a blue clip (my something blue).

I was all ready in my white dress, veil over my head.

My mother gave me a bracelet that she wore to her wedding and earrings that have been passed on from the generations. As I put them on, I was all ready, my something blue, old and borrowed.

All ready wedding was just half hour away, all the guests were here, everyone seated. I looked from the window and there he was, Ben was there and beside him Kyle (he kept his promise). I walked down the hall, Veni handed us our bouquet and we all stood in a single line. The music played, the bridesmaid, made their entrance, my dad standing beside, ready for me to walk down the aisle beside him.

Stacey went just before me, and as I entered, everyone stood up. I just looked at Kyle, while Ben looked at me and Kyle just ignored me. My dad and I reached at the altar and he put my hand in Ben's hand. Wished me with a kiss on my cheek and went and sat next to my mother.

The priest started with the hemes, while I stand with Ben's hand in mine opposite to me and Kyle stood behind him.

I looked at Ben and stole some glances to look at Kyle, as the time passed by, it was the time to say our vows, ben started first:

"It was love at first sight, seeing you in the park made me lucky enough to know you and I promise to be always loyal to you." He stops and takes a deep breath in as he was almost about to tear up.

"Wait... I cannot do this... I am sorry Kyra, but I cannot lie to you anymore.." he said . "What? Lie to me about what?" I asked him.

"I am in love with Stacey." He said out loud. Stacey gulped, and everyone stood up from their seats in amazement. "What? Why didn't you tell me before?" I asked him.

"I tried to tell you so many times." He said.

"Okay! Now I need to say something. I AM IN LOVE WITH KYLE" I replied.

Everyone stayed amazed and our mother's almost fainted to hear such news.

"Wait! What? Why didn't you tell me before?" Ben said and looked at Kyle, who was still in amazement, that I finally said it out loud.

"I didn't wanted to hurt you" I said again.

"You would have hurt me more, by keeping this secret to yourself." Ben replied.

"So is anyone going to get married today?" priest asked.

"Yes!!" I took out the engagement ring and handed it to Ben and he kept it, hugged me and went on to hugging and kissing Stacey. I felt happy for them.

"Thank you" Stacey said while tears flowed down her eyes.

I went towards Kyle, knelt down "I have always been in love with you, I have been rude to you, ignored you, but still everything about you, just makes me fall in love with you everyday. I didn't even realise if I hadn't been in that accident, that almost took my life" Kyle bends down and covers my mouth and said "I am happy, but that sight still haunts me. Never ever do that to me, and I have always loved you too, way before everything" he starts tearing up and we both stand up and hug each other.

He puts a hand in his blazer "I have been carrying this from a long time, in a hope and it came true today" "so, MISS KYRA, WILL YOU MARRY ME?" he said.

"Like you said, our wish came true, YES YESS!" I put my hand out and he put a stunning ring on my finger.
"So? What are we waiting for? Let's get married!!"

I said and he nodded in agreement.

We started it all from the beginning and this time Kyle was the groom and Ben being the best man.

I walked down the aisle, while i was happy and wanted to shout on the top of my lung.

My dad handed my hand to Kyle and went on to sit next to mom.

The priest continued with hemes, we said our vows, and ended the ceremony with a kiss.

Like I didn't want to stop kissing him.

Everyone cheered up, while I enjoyed the happiness of being with Kyle for the rest of our lives.

AT RECEPTION

The reception began, it was the time for our first dance as "MR&MRS. KYLE BENNET"

We went on to the and as per to my amusement, he stole the dance floor and made me feel like the queen  of the night.

Then it was the time for cake cutting.
We cut the cake together and put a small slice of cake on Kyle's face.

Time for some toasts:
Stacey stood up "Kyra, you gave me the biggest happiness today. You gave me Ben. I am sorry I couldn't tell you about it, but I always knew in your heart you always knew, and for that you deserved a true gift in the form of Kyle today. CHEERS!" She said, hugged me and kissed Ben.

I was so happy for them.

Ben stood up next:
"How the fate's change, I was the groom and then next thing you know, I am the best man", everyone laughed "but seriously it is right to be said, matches are made in heaven. Congratulations to both of you and wish you a happy married life" he concluded and everyone including us drank to the toast, while the elderly's weeped.

It was again time for dance, me and Kyle went on to the dance floor to rock it on.

Ben and Stacey joined in, a little uncomfortable at first but then we all went into the groove. I danced with my dad, Kyle's dad and to conclude the evening was the throwing of bouquet.

All the bachelor girls stood in a group and I faced backwards and threw the bouquet, amazingly it landed onto Stacey.

I went onto to hug her and she was all being shy, almost tearing up hugged me back.

As the night approached to the end or should I say in the morning , everyone started leaving, a long weekend came to an end and finally I was happy.

I leaped in Kyle's arms and we started heading out in the car saying "happily married".
