As far as being a werewolf goes, this ain't bad. Audrey leaned back in her chair and sniffed her wine with appreciation. A fire crackled at her feet while the moon above peeked out between dark clouds as stars flickered to life around it. The night was cool, the weather having settled fully into autumn. It was a nice night to snuggle up in her backyard and unwind after a long work week. Tao was next to her, although his massive frame threatened to crush the cheap plastic lawn chair he sat in.
"I should buy some new patio furniture," she murmured, noting the way his large stature dwarfed the chair. "I just don't know anyone who sells anything big enough for supersized werewolves."
Tao lifted a shoulder in a half shrug and sipped his wine. "I could build some," he offered, his bass voice booming. "I don't have a steady gig right now and I can't run wild twenty-four/seven."
"Well, you could, but then you would end up eating a rabbit or some other poor defenseless creature," she said, smiling at him. Being a vegetarian didn't come easy to her mate, but he did[...]"
