"It's harder than I thought it would be." She picked up the ring and held it up to the light. The diamond looked to be a full carat with a small cluster of diamonds flanking each side in a leaf pattern. "Did you have problems when you first shifted?"
"Oh yeah. I half shifted all over the place," Tao laughed. "I ruined so many clothes my mom started going into town to buy me cheap sweatpants at Wal-Mart. You know, the five dollar ones?"
At her nod, he continued.
"She quit buying socks and underwear for a while too, However, what you have that I didn't is me. I'm an alpha and that means I can steady your wolf and help you keep it in check."

She handed the box back to him. "You do it."
"That would be traditional, wouldn't it?" He took the ring out of the box and then slipped it onto her third finger. "I had to guess at the size. I hope it fits."
