"What do you think?" She gave him a sly grin.
"I think you will enjoy the many different spankings I'm planning for you up here." He tapped his head.
"And what else are you planning for us?" she asked. Now that pleasure didn't crowd her every nerve, she was left feeling insecure and uncertain. Yes, Tao called her his mate and said they were hitched, but it didn't feel permanent. They were more like a couple moving in together to try a relationship on for size. Sometimes she felt that they would be a forever couple, that they were bonded together in a mutual orbit, but other times, she realized Tao could walk out tomorrow and there would be nothing to stop him.
"What is it?" he asked, always sensitive to her mood.
Audrey shook her head. "I, just...nothing." She moved to leave the bed, but he held fast to her hand and wouldn't let her go.
"Talk to me, baby. There can't be secrets between us."
She resisted him both physically and mentally for several long seconds before giving in. "I love you, Tao and I'm terrified of it."
