"Then it had all felt perfect and very real, but that had faded as they settled into a routine. With a sigh, she said, "Maybe starting out as a human messed up my wolf, I don't know, but I need to know you won't leave."
In response, he released her and went to one of the dresser drawers she had given him. "I was saving this for when Kai found our pack clearing."
"What's a pack clearing?" She watched with interest as he rummaged through the drawer.
"It's the gathering place for the pack when we're in animal form. We hold various ceremonies and rituals there. Kai's been scouting for a place for weeks now."
"What kind of ceremonies and rituals?" she asked, wary. Was there some weird werewolf shit he hadn't told her about? "Wiccan werewolf ceremonies or drinking games or what?"
He laughed. "No, we're not Wiccan. We have our own culture and magic. Werewolves are not New Age. In fact, we can be very traditional." He came to stand in front of her and then without warning dropped on one knee.
