Once out of the hospital Lindsey made sure that Stevie was steady enough to walk on her own, constantly huddling near her. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Honey, I promise I'm okay." Stevie said. "I appreciate the concern but you heard the doctor."

"I'm not letting you out of me sight. I couldn't take it if something else happened to my girls."
Stevie took his hand in hers as she eased herself into the car. "Thank you for taking me home, Mr. Buckingham."
"It's no problem, Stevie. You're family." Morris smiled at her through the rear view mirror.

"Your parents said the same thing to me." Lindsey said, leaning into her side.

"I'm so happy" Stevie had tears in her eyes as she rubbed her belly.
"Me too," Lindsey whispered against her hair

"Lindsey I need to you to promise me something..."

"Anything, angel."

"Grow your hair back out."

"Is that allowed?"

"Daddy won't mind."

"You're sure?"

"If he does, I'll cry!" Stevie chuckled. "I just know Sara will have those curls."
"Have you been having heartburn?" Ruth asked from the passenger seat
"Yes! Sometimes it hurts so bad I have to sleep sitting up!"

"You've never told me that before." Lindsey said.

"I was told it was normal and I didn't want you to worry."

"Why are you asking, mom?" Lindsey asked.
"I had bad heartburn with you and your brothers, all three of you came out with full heads of hair," Ruth chuckled
"So I guess you can blame me for the heartburn" Lindsey said and Stevie giggled.

"She will be worth it." She kissed him, Lindsey's hand gripping her hip. "I can't wait to get home"

"Neither can I" he whispered, kissing just below her ear.
"So Stevie what do you want to go to college for?" Morris looked at her through the rear view mirror
Stevie pulled away, blushing. "Um, well, I was going to go for education. I wanted to be a teacher."

"Influencing young minds is a noble profession." Morris commented.

"Thank you."
"You are finishing school, right dear?" Ruth asked pointedly

"I'm not sure yet. I don't want to miss the early years of the baby's life."
"Motherhood is a beautiful thing."

"It is and I want to go back at some point. I've been toying with the idea of a gap year. I want to stay home with my daughter for a while. I plan to nurse and give her the proper start in life."

"Good for you, dear." Ruth said. Morris nodded in agreement.
"Lindsey what do you plan to do?" Morris asked him

"I was going to work for Mr. Nicks, maybe get a second job so we can get a house one day and settle down."
"Great plan, son." Morris was satisfied with the answer and Stevie cuddled into him.

"Now I definitely can't wait to get home." she said seductively.
Lindsey smiled down at her, pulling her closer to him as he kissed her hair, "Soon."
The moment they arrived at the house, Lindsey leapt out of the car, going to Stevie's side to help her out as well.
"Are you sure you feel okay?" He placed his hands on either side of her stomach

"Lindsey I feel fine. I promise."
"Okay. You'd tell me if you weren't, right?"

"Yes, of course. I would never hide anything from you. I love you."

"I love you too." Lindsey led her into the house where her parents met them right away in a hug.

"Mr and Mrs Buckingham, come on in." Stevie said, motioning to Lindsey's parents.
