For the past couple of months, Lindsey has been working hard in his therapies. He was able to walk for longer periods of time and able to grasp and open objects. His handwriting improved and he was able to express himself more easily with his voice. It wasn't perfect yet but Stevie was impressed with his recovery so far.

Lindsey was still living with his parents, and the separation was hard on them both especially as Stevie began to show. She put on a pretty but casual dress, and did her makeup meticulously for a short outing with Lindsey and their daughter. Sara seemed excited to see her daddy as well, wiggling and bouncing in her mother's arms as they walked to the Buckinghams' house.
"Calm down, baby girl," Stevie chuckled, "Daddy isn't going anywhere."

Lindsey was standing outside waiting on them, kissing Stevie as she approached him. "Hey girls," he smiled
"Hey, yourself." Stevie smiled. "How are you feeling?"

"Good...but...I sh-should ask you." he said and she giggled.

"I'm fine, Linds. Happy to see you."

"Hold?" he asked as he reached out to Sara who leaned in his direction.
Stevie passed Sara over, Lindsey kissing the side of her head. "Love you."

"The baby has been very active today," Stevie told him, her hand running over her five month bump
"Can I?" His eyes glanced down at her belly then looked into her eyes. Her eyes lit up instantly and he smiled. She took one of his hands in hers, pressing it to her belly.

"Feel that?"

He nodded, kissing her again as he held onto Sara tightly. His hand pulled away sooner than Stevie would have liked but he wasn't as strong as he was yet. He needed to stabilize his energetic daughter on his hip.
"What do you want to do today?" Stevie pushed his hair out of his face. Lindsey shrugging in response. "We could go to the park? Or grab a bite to eat?"
"Hungry?" He looked at her and she nodded vigorously.

"I'm always hungry. The baby is growing like a weed."

"That's my boy." Lindsey said with a smirk and she shook her head.

"We don't know it's a boy. For all we know, it could be another little girl for me to dress up." She paused, stroking his cheek. "Either way I will be so happy."

"Me too," he told her. "Love you."

"We love you too."
"Ready?" Lindsey asked, handing Sara back over as his arms were firing.

"Of course, do I need to go get the car?"

"I can walk," he smiled proudly
"You're sure?" She gave him a look of concern and he nodded. "Okay."

As they walked, he took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together and she smiled happily. It almost felt normal again.
"You okay?" Lindsey asked as they were half way to the park. He was worried that she was getting tired as she carried Sara

"I'm alright, baby." She squeezed his hand in return
He smiled, still watching her. She was getting bigger much fast this time and though he were still recovering, he wished he could help her more. She was basically raising their daughter alone and their plans to move into a house of their own and get married was derailed by his accident. He wished it had never happened. He wished it would have never ever allowed anyone to upset him so much. He felt stupid and foolish.

Finally at the restaurant, Stevie moved to hold his forearm as they walked up the couple steps to the door. He shook her off, wanting to do it on his own.

"No help." he said, his tone more harsh than she was used to.

"Okay." She said simply, caught off guard.
Once inside Lindsey sat down on his own-well more like plopped down on his own. He refused her help. Stevie sat across from him and had a seat brought over for Sara
