Percy and Annabeth -- After CHB

Chapter 2

"Ow!" Piper cried

"Piper! Are you alright?" Annabeth ran to her side "What's wrong?"

"Call the nurse, call her! And get Jason! Please!"

"Percy go!" Annabeth screamed.

He ran out of the room and down the hall. Hazel smashed the Emergency call button. A nurse ran in."What happened?" the nurse asked.

"My contractions just picked up, they're really bad!"

"Okay, ma'am I need to check how dilated you are."

Just then Percy ran in with Jason. He ran over to Piper. "I'm sorry I forgot your drink."

"Ha, I think it's gonna be okay." she laughed.

"Ma'am you're fully dilated, it's time to push."

"But there isn't a doctor. Will she be okay?" Jason touched Piper's face.

"The doctor will be here in a moment, but until then she needs to push."

"But what about the epidural? She didn't get it yet!"

"She'll just have to deliver naturally. We need to start now. Your baby is almost here."

"But, but-" Jason started.

"It's okay Jason, I can do this."

It didn't take very long. The whole time Aphrodite shouted encouragement and Piper shouted "Shut up, Mom!"

When it was finally over, Percy, Annabeth, Frank and Hazel stood back and watched as Jason and Piper cradled their baby girl in their arms.

It had to be like one in the morning so Annabeth crashed on the couches that were in the corner of the room. When Percy saw she was asleep, he went over to Piper.

"Hey Pipes. Has Annabeth said anything to you. I feel like she has been weird lately."

"Well, I think you should ask her. Not m-."

"I know this one!" Aphrodite ran over, "She's pregnant! She's pregnant!"

"Wait, WHAT?!?! She didn't say anything"

"MOM! She isn't sure, she didn't take a test yet."

"Really?" he grinned, "So I might be a dad!?!?!"

"She told me she thought that it would ruin your lives together."

"Why? I love her, whether we have a baby or not."

"She thought since you were still in school, that it wasn't the right time."

"As long as we are together, anytime is the right time. I love her."

A few days later, he couldn't stand it anymore.

"Wise Girl. Do you want to tell me something?"

"Actually, umm, yes. I took a pregnancy test, and I am pregnant."

"Really! Oh my gosh! This is amazing!"

"No, this isn't good. You're still in school, and I'm working on the camp! We can't do this-"

"I can!"

"I can't!" She shouted "Percy, I can't do this."

She broke down and he pulled her close. "You'll be an awesome mother. You're the light in my life, and now I have another thing to live for" he touched her stomach, "I love you Annabeth!"

"I love you too. Even if your head is full of Seaweed!"

She punched his chest, and he grabbed her, and tickled her relentlessly.

"You know, we do have to tell people. Should we start with Sally and Paul?"

"Well that should be interesting!" She laughed, "We can go tomorrow. For now though, I'm tired, let's go to bed."
