Percy and Annabeth -- After CHB

Chapter 12

"What?!" Piper stared at Annabeth, "You've got to make her have them! You've got to!"

"Ma'am, I can't make her do anything." The doctor looked solemnly at her, "My hands are tied. If this goes too far, I will have to do a C section."

"It won't come to that! I can get her to have the babies. How long until it gets dangerous?"

"5 to 10 minutes."

"Oh god. Her boyfriend won't be out of surgery for 15 minutes at most. She is stubborn, I don't know if she will do this without him."

"She might just have to."

Piper shook her head, and walked to Annabeth's bed. "Annabeth, you could really be hurt, you could die, and so will the babies if you don't have them now."

"No." Annabeth gritted her teeth as a contraction came, "I won't do this without Percy. He needs to be here Pipes."

At this Piper realized her friend wasn't budging. "I don't think this is a good idea. I understand you feel like you need Percy, but this is seriously dangerous."

"I don't feel like I need him, I do need him. This is important to him, I need him to be here."

"Alright. You now that if this goes to far they will do an emergency C section. You will loose your children. And Percy will loose you. Do you want that."

"That won't happen-"

"But it might Annabeth!! It might."

Her eyes brimmed with tears. She turned on her side, looking away from Piper. Piper walked back to the doctor. She is gonna string this as long as possible. I need you to get me if something, anything happens. I'm finding her boyfriend. The sooner he's here, the sooner she has those babies."

Before the doctor could respond, Piper ran out of the room, and slammed right into a nurse. 

"Oh, um, sorry."

"Hello. Are you a friend of Ms. Chase? I have some news about her boyfriend."

"Yes! You can tell me! Is Percy alright?"

"He is recovering."

"Oh good! Is he conscious?"

"Yes, that's why I'm here. He is asking about his babies."

"They aren't delivered yet, but she needs him here ASAP. Can you get him in here?"

"Yes. He can be moved."

"Then get him here! Go now!"

The nurse ran off, and the doctor stuck his head out the doorway. "You asked to let you know when something happens. Something did. She is getting very weak, and the contractions are picking up, to the point where we need to do this now!"

Piper cursed in Ancient Greek. "Alright. Let me get her going."

Piper ran into the room and knelt at Annabeth's bedside. "Percy is coming. He is on his way. But right now you need to start having these beautiful children."

"Okay Piper. Let's have these babies."

"Doctor!" Piper called, "She's ready."

"Okay. Let's get going Ms. Chase."
