I have somewhat of an idea what I'm doing.
------------
Ash POV
I fucked up.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me tell it from the beginning.
----------
"Wake up Ash- I mean Mary." Herc whispered shaking me. Mary was always my fake nurse name. It was too common for them to just stop letting people named Mary join because of a few stories.
I was going to go in and be a 'nurse' while I snuck info to Herc in his shop. We had a real wash shop so it would seem as if when I went I was just getting some clothes washed for the soldiers.
"Okay. I'm coming. One sec." I told him getting ready. I brushed my hair, got dressed, and brushed my teeth. What? Is it a crime to be hygienic?
"Come on, er, Mary." I heard Herc yell from the deck.
"Coming." I yelled walking out in my very uncomfortable dress.
"Finally." I heard one of the other men, of who I knew as Adam, mumbled playfully.
"If you have somewhere important to be, then go." I replied punching his arm.
"Actually, I have a military base to go to, with a certain nurse." He said putting out his arm.
"Well then maybe we should go." I laughed, linking his arm with mine.
"Here's the shop address. Good luck." Herc told me.
"I'll try my best. Bye." I yelled waving, as me and Adam walked in the opposite direction.
----------
It had been almost a year, and nothing too big had gone wrong. I was silently celebrating because I had beat my longest time of not being found by a week. I had decided to go to Herc's shop to tell him the news.
I went to the laundry room to grab some, well, laundry, so that I didn't look suspicious.
"Ma'am, you're gonna need to come with me." I heard a voice say from behind me. I turned around to see two armed soldiers.
"Why? If I may ask?"
"You have been accused of treason." The other man said.
"I guess the saying is right, then."
"What are you talking about?" The first guard asked confused.
"Nothing good ever lasts." That's when I attacked.
