Just got back from the mountains. Snow... in Spring?? I am from Australia but I'm not crazy...
“Just you wait until you realise you made a terrible decision! And don’t come crawling back to me! I do not give people second chances!”
The Monsieur moves towards Morticia slowly. She has been bound in chains that Monsieur Façade had suspiciously installed in his cooler room.
“Oh, Morticia. We would have been so perfect.” He says softly and kneels down in front of her. “So perfect for each other…” He places a cold hand on her cheek and smiles. She twitches but doesn’t move. “So perfect.” He whispers onto her lips.
Him being so close to her didn’t make her uncomfortable but more annoyed. How dare he treat a married woman like this! But his hand soon slides off her cheek as she turns her head to look away from him. She looks back up to seem him at the door.
“I told you, no second chances.” The last thing she sees is his smile as the door is sealed and the light in the cooler room turns off.
“So, that wine bottle… if you touch it, it triggers the bomb?”
Frankie nods at Wednesday’s question.
“And why exactly are you telling me this?” She asks confused.
“Your family, Wednesday… your family is amazing. You have no idea how lucky you are. You all love each other and it’s so obvious.”
Wednesday splutters. “You know we try to kill each other?"
“With a family like yours, you need to protect it.” He looks her in the eye gravely. “You can still get away from here. You can run and all of you will stay alive.”
She looks down on the hand he has placed on her arm. It was a cold hand and it made her feel colder. It wasn’t a feeling she liked.
“I’m telling you, Wednesday… you need to run.”
There was something inside her telling her not to, but she was Wednesday Addams and thinking only about herself was a lifetime goal. She could just grab her family and go, but there was something about that night that had changed her. She wasn’t the same any more and that voice inside her that told her to stay got the better of her.
“No, I think we should stay.”
He looks at her horrified.
“Maybe there’s a way to stop it.” She says quietly. She felt like something was wrong with her. She was actually trying to help other people. But somehow it all felt so right to be trying to save people and for once, not trying to kill them.
Had the same song stuck in my head all day...
... Lonely No More...
