"How did she do that?"asked Tony, staring blankly at Refia. She shifted slightly in her chair, currently aware of all of the eyes in the room burrowing into her head. Naturally, she laid back in the couch to relieve the tension.
"I taught her the use of aethertech, and also how to fly using it. Tony, your gloves are also aethertech. They focus Kinetics and blast them forward in the shape of whatever the person requires." She said.
The room was silent with everyone intensely focused on what she was saying.
"Right now Anna's wearing an aethertech vest under her clothes. Using he same focus as her sword, she can manifest wings and fly. That's how she's going to catch up to Blake. Oh, I guess you aren't dating then?" she said.
"No, we're not." replied Tony, irritated. He couldn't go out with her, even if deep inside he wanted to. He stared around the room, and noticed everyone could see what he was thinking. He took a deep breath. "No more questions please." he said.
Meanwhile, Adrianna had just broken Mach 2 looking for Blake. He could travel just as fast in his wolf form, so she realized she had to think. Where would he go?
The river? The woods? What about the nearby town? She closed her eyes as the scarlet sun set behind the horizon. It was orange and red, just like Tony's warm energy... 'Focus, you're looking for your boyfriend.'
She considered all of this before realizing that she really didn't know. They had been dating over a year- why was it so hard for her to think about where he was? She looked around and realized they really didn't talk that much, not like she and Tony did.
In fact, she spent more time kissing him than talking to him. Maybe she really didn't need to be looking for him anyways.
A spike in Kinetic pressure sent the hair on her arms bristling. It was him, but he never used up so much energy except for...
Not wanting to think about it, she tucked her wings and dove into the forest. She stashed them, creeping silently among the bushes, hoping not to make a sound. The rustling trees and the hum of bugs helped to mask her footsteps.
She came into small clearing, and looked down.He saw a bush, parted where it had been stepped on, along with some broken twigs. She took a step forward, and froze in her tracks.
It was him all right, but not how she expected him at all. He was in the clearing, hunched over another wolf. His tongue hung limply from his mouth, and he was whining, thrusting downwards. The wolf was a girl, with brown fur, and a black tuft of fur behind her right ear.
'Myra? Why's he screwing Myra?' Then the realization hit her. 'He's screwing Myra...'
Tears pushed at her eyes, flowing down her cheeks in warm, salty streams. She turned away, not wanting to watch. He was cheating on her with another girl. And Myra of all girls...
Myra was Blake's ex, and the slut of the pack. She had as many curves as she did boyfriends. So that was what Clara sensed...
Well fuck him too.
She took off into the air, the tears falling like rain. She wiped them away, having a thought. Maybe that wasn't him. There are tons of wolves in the wild, and maybe that wasn't her either. Why would he cheat over such a small comment?
She smiled weakly, hoping she was right.
She landed near the car, and hopped in the trunk, quietly closing it behind her. She was bombarded with questions.
"Where is he?" asked Clara, staring at Adrianna.
"I don't know. I didn't find him." she said. As if on cue, he stepped inside, grinning widely.
