Chapter twenty one
Stage one:Hostility and Deceit
Kansas
The door zoomed in on me pounding off its frame at a steady rate as he tried to ram his way into the room.
I sprung into the basket of towels and covered my head with a few towels while I shallowed my breath as soon as the knight thug barged into the room.
Zing!
At that moment I felt an itch at my nose as I heard his footsteps then saw a sliver of light above me when he lifted the lid off the basket.
Every second was suspenseful, my lips became dry I heard no other sound except the erratic beating of my heart.
I became aware he had touched inside the basket and thank the heavens he found nothing to his liking.
I sighed in relief when he walked out of the bathroom still weary to get out of my hiding spot since I heard.
" Come out little nigger, sloe eye, brown monkey" Once the room appeared to be quiet I tiptoed to the bathroom door exhausted at the same time relieved I was alone.
Nevertheless my exhausted body scurried to the air vent right next to the toilet crawling through to get into the air duct.
Troy's P.O.V.
I whistled sloping down the stairs when blood curdling screams and gunshots rang from all directions.
Slowly I came to the last step and peeked at the knights with guns shooting anybody in sight.
Cutting my whistle tune short I began my ascend back upstairs to the hotel room. " Where do you think you're going ?" Somebody asked me from the landing.
" No where?" I replied he motioned with his gun to the lounge obediently I took his direction and knelt with my hands up.
"Your phones now!" One of them barked at us.
I pulled out my recently bought prepaid phone from my pocket then tossed it in to the bag of knight that was assigned to me and everyone else at the right corner.
At gun point we were forced to bow at them as one dug out something from his pouch and placed it on the coffee table.
Holy shit that's a bomb!
Ferdinand's P.O.V.
The ceiling! Finally I reached it!
I relaxed for a minute to feel the cramp of my limbs for being coiled in this narrow space.
Since the cramps showed no sign to cease quickly. I got out the phone and dialed nine one one.
" Nine one one what's your emergency!" She chirped.
I wonder how you'd be happy when your job is answer to distressed people?
" There are armed men after me" I whispered. " Now ?"
No two days from now!
" Yes"
" Okay could you describe them for me"
" They're masked they're wearing knight costumes "
" What are they armed with?"
" Guns"
" Alright..."
" Ferdinand, Ferdinand Tenga"
" Alright Ferdinand could you tell me where you and the men are?"
