Tobias should be here by now. It's already 4:00 and school let out almost two hours ago. I don't think he'd forget, or that he'd abandon me because that's not him..or it wasn't him when we were younger. Thinks could have easily changed, right?

No! Stop Tris! Don't think like that, don't you dare.

Maybe if I just called him..but that would look desperate. Hell to all of this, I need something to keep me busy. Maybe I should change.

After going through my whole damn closet I still don't know what to wear, I wonder if- my thoughts are cut off as my phone goes off on the side table near my headboard.

"Hello?" I say as I try to calm my breathing after sprinting to my phone

"Tris?"

"Oh, hi Tobias. Wasn't expecting you to call." nice one. Jesus Christ.

"Oh okay, well I'm picking you up in 15 minutes, you think you'll be ready by then?" I take a look around my disastrous room.

"Mhhm, sure will," fuck "see you soon!"

"See you soon too, Tris." He says as he laughs before hanging up. Oh shit.

I quickly throw on the nicest, date like, outfit I have that isn't fancy but isn't horrible.

After placing on my skinny jeans, white tank top, and my black jacket I slip on my timberlands and hope to god that Tobias isn't close or here. I quickly through my hair into a half done up-do and swipe on lipgloss. I don't wear makeup, don't think I really need too.

My doorbell rings, pulling me out of my trance. Quickly I grab my purse and head towards the door but slow as I am about to reach for the doorknob. I can't seem to eager, right? Wrong, I swing open the door and in front of me stands Tobias.

Oh Tobias, may we have more of these because DAMN.

I follow him out the door, not bothering to say goodbye to my family. Not like they'd hear me, they all left on a surprise trip. It was a surprise because I didn't know about it till I came home and saw the note that they'd left. Oh good ole family trips.

"Where too?" I ask as we reach his car

"The Park" he says, not giving anything away

"The park? Which one?"

"Not telling you, sorry but no-can-doski" he says while laughing at his own personal joke

"So, what's with Lauren. Do you know why she did that to me?" I asked trying to ignite a conversation but with my luck his eyes just got darker and his body stiffened.

"I knew this was going to come up. I don't want to think of that now." He says while not making eye contact

"Why? Shouldn't I at least know why she hates me? I did almost die you know.." I say while trailing off

"Damnit Tris! I know you almost died, that's why I don't want to talk about it. What do you think I would've done if you did? Move on as if nothing happened? No Tris, I'd feel guilty for not catching you sooner or not being closer."
