Deep through the wilderness, I run. Away from my fate that wasn't even mine to choose. Away from the royalty who could bid on me like all I was good for was labor work. That's it.

By a calm river stream, I fall to my knees, and drink. Cold bliss.

Soft footsteps behind me. A gentle hand on my shoulder.

I turn, meeting those soft brown eyes that I've missed so much.

"You're safe now."
