Connor was right she would be his wife and she was. They got hitched right after college and he made her a woman and loved her as much as she loved him. They however still had a problem, while his family was more than happy to welcome her, she hadn't told anyone in her family except for her sister Kadian who was elated at the news. She was the maid of honour and she admired Connor even though his name was a typical white boy's name. Stacy was there being a cheerleader and bridesmaid.

They had been married for two years and in those two years she stopped going to family events because 'she had to work'. If she went back she knew her parents would want her to move back home and they'd try to force someone on her. So she spent more time with the Jepson's on holiday's or just when Connor was gone for weeks.

Connor's passion had become a reality right after he finished college and he used half his trust fund to start building hospitals all over the world. She was so proud of him every time she saw him in a new country cutting the ribbons she had to stay and study for finals or something.

Connor had only been gone for two days he's be back in two and she couldn't wait even her stomach was in knots to see her husband. They chatted every day over the internet like they were currently doing before things got weird.

"Hey baby." He said through the web cam.

"Hey how is it going?" She asked. She was in one of his shirts.

"I'm tired and I miss you." He ran his hand through his hair.

"I miss you too but I'm glad you're not here." She was vomiting like crazy all morning and she couldn't keep anything down except for saltines.

"Why not?" he asked confused.

"I'm sick and my breast are tender." She signed.

"Sick how?" He asked. "If you're sick I should come back then. I can't have you dealing with an illness alone." His usual worried face appeared.

"No don't people need good health care facilities." She felt her mouth watering and she ran to the bathroom throwing up all the contents in her stomach. She rinsed her mouth and sat back in front of the screen.

"That doesn't sound good Jay." His brows met and a worry line came forward.

"It's just the flu." She wiped her mouth.

"That's not the flu." He said.

"Then do tell me Dr. Jepson what it is?" she rolled her eyes.

"I think your pregnant." He said and a smile crossed his face.

"I'm not." Her head snapped up as she tried remembering her last period.

"When was your last period?" he asked.

"Last..." she trailed off trying to remember. "No I'm not pregnant. We haven't even decided if we want to start having kids." She said.

"You're pregnant now." He smiled.

"We were careful." She mumbled. They had used condoms every time they had sex well he said he did. "You son of a..." she began yelling. "You did this on purpose!" She yelled at him.

"You said you're not pregnant so why are you yelling?" He asked a smile still plastered on his face.

"If I am then you lied to me about the condoms." She said.

"I didn't, not exactly anyways." He shrugged. Her phone was blaring she looked over at it and saw 'family' her parents were calling, she ignored it and continued cussing out Connor.

"So that mean's I'll have to go to the doctor tomorrow." She sighed.

"Take one of the maids with you." He said.

"No. I'm taking you so you better be online the entire morning." She said in her best bossy voice.

"Yes ma'am." He teased her.

"Suppose we are pregnant." She said, her hand moving to her stomach.

"Then we'll be great parents. You'll have to tell your parents at last." He said and she shuddered at the idea of telling them that she married a white man and they were expecting their first interracial baby.

"Or we could move away." She suggested.

"No we are not moving. Sometimes I think that you're ashamed to show me to your family." He was getting upset they have had this same conversations a million times.

"I'm not, it's just that they are hard to please and they have one mind set of white people." She defended.

"I don't care what they think you and I are married and that's it." He said.

"I know." She rubbed her hand over her stiffening nipples. "I'll tell them when the time is right." She mumbled.

"Fine." He said. She winced a little at the feeling of her nipple. "Let me see it." He said and she slipped his shirt from her shoulders and watched it bundle on the floor.

"They are really tender." She said touching her ample breasts.

"Tomorrow go to the clinic and let dad look at them." He said.

"I don't want my father-in-law groping my breasts." She said.

"I trust him more than any other doctor." He said.

"Fine." She succumbed.

"Now cover up you're giving me a boner." He reached under his desk.

"No." she angled her body that he had a full view of her.

"That's not fair." His voice getting deeper, just like always when he was in the mood.

"How about I slip off my undies?" She teased him her fingers playing with the waistband.

"Oh god no." He said and she smirked.

"I say oh god yes." She began slipping them off when again the phone began ringing. "Saved by the bell." She smiled and picked it up. "Hello?" She answered.

"Jada Natika Foster, I have been calling and calling." My mother yelled in the phone and Connor watched me slightly amused.

"I'm sorry mom I was busy." She smiled at Connor waved a good bye, blew him and kiss and mouthed 'I love you' before disconnecting the video chat.

"Are you coming home for thanksgiving?" She asked calmly.

"No mom I got so much work." She lied.

"Nowhere is open on thanksgiving." She said matter of fact.

"Chemists don't take the holidays off." She said slipping on Connor's shirt.

"We are proud but your work has taken you away." She rolled her eyes.

"Mom..." She trailed tired of the never ending conversation.

"Look we just really miss you." She sighed.

"I miss you guys too but I just can't make it back home." She said getting comfortable between the sheets. "I have to go kiss dad for me and I love you guys." She said quickly then hung up. If she hadn't done that she'd be on the phone for hours talking about how Jada needing to come home and get herself a nice stallion and she loved the stallion she already had but she can't tell them that because they'd say they taught her better. They'd also judge Connor's family looking down at their linage and I didn't want that so it was best to stay at a safe distance.
