MEI'S POV ~

Mei opened her eyes, looking at her surroundings, but they weren't just any surroundings, No... Because Naru was there, smiling a calm and handsome smile she adored, she was without a doubt, dreaming again. For a moment, everything seemed to be playing out on a chalk-board. There were large hills, a farm house and three horses grazing quietly in a paddock. It seemed to be the drawing that a young child would put together.

Mei would look towards Naru for some answers, usually he'd point her in the right direction, or tell her something important. But why now? Shibuya Psychic Research hadn't even started their newly assigned case.

"Close your eyes Mei." He said. Mei did so, a sudden warm breeze rushed past her and she could feel something swaying against her bear legs. She opened them, only to find her surroundings had changed, and Naru had disappeared. In that instant she realized that drawing had become real. Everything seemed to real, the long grass brushing against her legs, the warm breeze and the sun smiling upon the beautiful country land.

She hadn't really encountered anything like this before, it was just hills and acres of land stretching beyond the horizon. Everything was so beautiful, she felt as if she could just lay down and sleep in this field where yellow flowers grew and the grass was perfect.

But... There had to be a reason for her being here. She hadn't seen this place before, nor the house in the distance, not like in the drawing, the house had been much smaller. It was larger in reality and was at the foot of the hill, rather than the top.

She suddenly heard someone's laughter, a child. But it didn't scare her, in-fact, that child sounded happy. But there was more than just one child. There was another.

Slowly Mei would turn to find two young children sitting in that field, there was a young girl in a white dress, her curly brown hair was up in twin-tails and she seemed to be a-lot older than the young boy she was with. She had to be at least 12 or 13 no younger, no older Mei guessed.

The boy was different however, he was younger and smaller, blonde hair and blue eyes, she smiled and approached them, although she knew they most likely wouldn't know of her presence, she couldn't help but advance forward to get a better look at what they were doing.

As she came closer, she noticed that the girl was weaving together some grass and talking to the boy... But, she couldn't understand them. They weren't speaking Japanese, they were speaking some foreign language. Mei figured she wasn't in Japan. But somewhere else.

A coldness blew across the field. Mei quickly turned around, noticing a storm coming. How could such a lovely day end up having such a sudden storm? Naru suddenly appeared again, but he wasn't smiling. He seemed to be very serious and stern, something wasn't right. Yet he didn't speak, instead he pointed further into the field where there was a well.

"A well... What is it Naru?" She asked. Looking at him again. But he just continued to stare at her. Mei scratched the back of her head and forwarded for the well. But she stopped suddenly, those kids weren't there anymore... She turned to confirm what she believed, no... They weren't there.

She heard the sound of sobbing, she turned her head back to the well. The boy, he was sitting near the well, his eyes were filled with tears, but something was different, he wasn't as young. He was older... But the girl wasn't there. She had vanished.

Mei couldn't help but feel a pang in her chest, what had happened? She looked at the object the boy was turning with his fingers, it was a small bracelet, weaved from grass. But it looked different, it had aged. It was falling apart and had started browning.

Mei held a fisted hand against her chest and watched him, she couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Was he just missing someone, or had something happened to that girl. It had to be the same person. He had the blonde hair, blue eyes and same fashion sense, jeans, a stripped shirt, he hadn't been wearing shoes either.

Mei was about to try and say something when what was happening crashed down around her...

"Mei!"

"Mei... Wake up."
