LIN'S POV ~
Lin roamed the house, starting from the very first corner near the front door, taking simple photos. Working his way up the creaky abode, snapping shots of every single corner in the house.
But he felt as if something else was calling to him, the male froze for a moment. He didn't recall during the tour of the house that there was a room with black door frame. I didn't match the bright interior at all, why hadn't it been noticed before.Lin inspected his surroundings, confirming that he was alone he stepped toward the door curiously, although his expression still lacked any expression.
As he approached, he felt the room calling him, like he was being pulled forth by some invisible force.
Something wasn't right about this, the more he remapped the house in his head from the tour, the more the idea of there ever being a room here faded.
There was never a room here, there was no room within the house signaled out by a black door frame. It was never there.Lin quickly snapped out of the state and swiftly pulled up his camera to snap a photo of the door. He stared at the area with cold eyes and took a few steps back.
His heart, it was beating rapidly... And his breathing was unsteady. It was just a door, so why was it such a big deal?
"Lin... Why are you so pale?" Mei's voice broke through his thoughts, he whirled around on his heel to see her standing there innocently, rubbing her eyes.
"Mei... Were you sleeping?" Lin asked, the answer. He wanted her to say yes. He wanted to know if she had any dream that was related to this."Yeah, geez Lin. Aren't you cold? It's so cold up here?" Mei commented, looking around herself while rubbing her arms. She was literally shivering.
Reality dawned on him, he had been so caught up trying to chart out the house he hadn't noticed how frigid it was. It was this cold, yet they were in Australia in the middle of summer. This kind of weather would be something like sitting in a snow storm.
Lin looked back at Mei, who was looking up at him with large innocent eyes.
"Something isn't right about this part of the house." He said, trying to muffle back his unsteady breathing.A creaking emitted as the aged door began to slowly swing open. The creaking so loud one would have thought the door would fall off it's hinges.
Mei's eyes widened when she noticed the door, perhaps she too. Hadn't noticed it there before."Lin-
She was cut off when a sinister croon poured from the door.
"Lin. What is that humming sound?" She asked, humming? Humming? That was a good question, the family had mentioned during their explanation of uncanny experiences in the house that there would be a humming sound at a set day and time every week, and it would never fail to happen."Ring-a-ring o' roses."
"A pocket full of posies."Lin; out of instinct seized Mei's arm and made sure he was behind her, guarded from anything that might come out of that door. He bared his teeth.
"I ask your name?" The assistant growled.
Mei remained behind him, her hand firmly placed over her mouth.
But nothing came into sight, there was no reply. Just that same piercing silence that Kazuya often had.The ghostly giggle of children laughing came from beyond the door. It sounded as though two children were having a fun time playing together.
"A tishoo, a tishoo..."
"We..."Everything went silent
"All..."
Mei and Lin froze, the door slowly opened. Further, further. Until it was visible. A fire place which sat in an endless void of tenebrosity.
"Fall..."
Several things happen, Lin whipped the phone up again and clicked a picture, Mei screamed. Something rushed out of the door with heavy force, knocking them both backwards to the harsh floorboards. The door slammed with a loud bang, hard enough every picture on the same wall fell off and shattered and all the electricity cut out, leaving the hallway blackened.
"Down..."
The children's giggling ceased out of earshot, Lin's vision began to double and finally unconsciousness swallowed him. Leaving him and Mei inert and unaware of their surroundings, the cell phone lay in Lin's motionless hand.
And the door, completely vanished, now there was nothing. But the framed image of two young children, smiling wide at the viewer together.
