I have a thousand thoughts on my mind before heading over to Lip. We cleared off our schedule to spend the day together. I was excited because being with Lip was always an adventure, I craved time with him. It killed me that this may be our last. I walk in from the back and wait on the kitchen stool for Lip. He walks downstairs and smiles as soon as he sees me, making my heart melt. He wore a button up and a jacket. He kisses me while cupping my cheeks. Our lips part and he smirks at me, my eyes start to water, and I pull his jacket towards me and kiss him again.
"You okay?" He chuckles, and I nod. "Come on; we have reservations." He grabs my arm and walks me out the house. We head toward the L and my eyebrows furrow.
"Where's the car?" I ask, and he purses his lips.
"Sort of got towed, it's okay though right?" He asks, and I smile at his worry.
"Yeah, just wondering. So reservations for what?" I ask as we sit on the train.
"Well if I tell you then that doesn't make it a surprise." He purses his lips and looks at me. God, I'm going to miss those eyes.
"Okay, I trust you." I laugh, and he places his arm around me holding me close. I rest my head on his shoulder and stare at the strangers on the train. Lip and I played this game we always played called what's their story. It's pretty self-explanatory, you pick out your strangers and guess what their story is, we also gave them little voices and scenarios.
"Okay look at the guy at the far left." I look over and spot a man in a business suit reading a book. "His wife left him, took everything. The kids he only gets on weekends, both cars, and the house. He's on his way to work." He says leaning back more in his seat.
"Nope. I think he's still with his wife, hence the mark of where his ring should be. He just came from plowing his side hoe." I say confidently and his eyebrows furrow.
"No way." He says.
"Yes, way." I challenge, and he just stares at me for a moment.
"How can you tell?" He asks. I couldn't help but notice the way his lips curved when he spoke.
"Peep the book he's reading." I point at the trump book the guy was holding. "Business suit? The book? The guy is a total douche. Wants to bang anything that looks at him."
"Oh really?" He teases, and I smile. "The upcoming stop is ours." He adds.
"Okay stay behind me when we leave the train and watch the guy," I whisper, and he nods.
Our stop came, and I sat up and walk toward the guy to leave the doors he was near. I feel him checking me out with a sly smirk. He whistles and I hold in my laughter. Lip and I leave the train, and I look up at him waiting for his response.
