"Ellie?" Ian snaps me back to reality.

"Y-yeah?" I ask while taking the joint from him.

"What's bothering you? Besides the fact that you ended up seeing Mandy and Ethan." He chuckles, and I nudge him.

"Lip managed to hook up with that pedo for justice or whatever. I don't know what's up with him. It's like I want to do things with him and he says no when the time is right, but he does stuff with a random?" I scoff and inhaling the smoke.

"So you two haven't done anything?" Ian confirms.

"Nope. That's weird right?" I scrunch my nose.

"For Lip yeah. He and Karen used to bang like bunnies." Ian laughs and passes me the joint again.

"Please don't remind me." I roll my eyes and take a hit.

Ian and I are on top of the abandoned train tracks to catch up. Ian has become one of my best friends, and his company is always much needed. He filled me in on his new hot romance with an older man and about his complicated love life with Mickey.

To be honest, I ship Ian and Mickey so bad. I just hate the way Mickey is so stubborn about what they have. Mickey knows I know about his gayness and how he's such a bottom.

It was obvious to me that if I ever speak a word about it, he will shoot me right in the jaw. So my lips are sealed.

"I think he's scared to fall in love with you completely," Ian exclaims. "No that has to be it. Karen wiped her ass with Lip, and he's scared to let his guard down. He already really fucking likes you, once he gets to bone he will be hooked."

"Well, I'm scared too! My heart felt so heavy last night dealing with Lip and scaring the shit out of the pedo that she fled." I lay back to stare at the clouds.

"Does it have to do with your ex, Silas?" He softly says passing me the joint once again. I choose not to answer and just to smoke. "He really did a number on you huh?" A soft, sympathetic smile appears on Ian's face.

"I won't hurt him like Karen did," I state and get up from the train tracks toward the ladder. I carefully walk down the ladder and in the direction of my house. "I'm going to go home before it gets dark." I turn to Ian, and he nods putting his hands in his pocket.
