Laylani POV
I was just sitting around in my apartment I just finished cleaning and I didn't have anything else to do when I heard my iPhone 6 ringing on the table beside the couch. I took it off the charger when I seen my mom was calling.
" Hey Ma" I said with a smile. " Hey babygirl I have some bad news and possibly some good news." She said. Why does this lady always have some type of news to tell me. " Ok so what's the bad news?" I asked walking into the kitchen. " Your stepfather and I got a divorce." She said sounding sad. I, on the other hand, was happy as ever.
I hated that nigga but I was happy because my mom was happy and that's all that mattered. " Aw ma it's ok he didn't deserve you and trust me he will regret it." I said trying to make her feel better. " Well the good news is I'm moving." Wait what? Wait how is that good news?" I asked confused.
" Well I am sad about the divorce but I'm happy because I don't have to stay in this house with all the memories because I found a better job." She said happy. " Well where is this job located ?" I asked sitting on the kitchen counter. " Houston."
Yay!! Part 1 once again I'm trying to get back into making stories again. 🌺
