Constantine's P.O.V
Bright and early I woke up with memories of yesterday fresh in my head. This must be a game I said to myself hoping that it was.A few seconds later of daydreaming my alarm clock rang so I got out of bed and hopped in the shower.
30 minutes later
I got dressed and walked down stairs , I had a quick breakfast then I was out the door . After 10 minutes of driving I pulled up in the school's driveway. I was going to open my locker but I got a text message.
unknown number - Want to know where your dad is do me a favor . Makayla's mom keeps money in her makeup kit in her room get me the money and leave it at the table by the door in Bella’s favorite cafe . You've got till 5:30 :p
I know I know don't make a deal with the devil but I have to know why he lefted.I spent the rest of the day wondering if it was worth the risk. I going to steal from my best friend's mother , I'm pretty sure in the best friend guide book it says not to steal from your B.F.F or their family members. But do I have a choice?
At about 2:54 I ran out the school's door . I had not exactly come up with a plan but I was working on it. Good news for me Makayla has to rehearse for the play and her mom is working till 6:00 today.
At Makayla's house
I rang the door bell and seconds later I see the door open revealing Makayla's shirtless older brother . I've always had a thing for him too bad I'm like a little sister to him.
"Hey little C , Makayla not home right now"
"No actually I came to get something from her room if thats ok?"
"Sure, I'll be in the game room if you need me"
"ok, bye"
I walked up stairs and searched for Makayla's mom's room .When I found the room I immediately spotted the makeup kit , I opened it and took the money out and ran downstairs. I was going to open the door but I heard my name being called from the game room. I walked there slowly and said
"yes, big bro"
"oh, I just wanted to know if you found what you were looking for? "
"Yeah"
"What was it by the way?"
Damn why is he asking all these questions
"my favorite lip gloss" I said pulling out one that I already had.
"alright , later little C" he said then pulling me into a hug. When he let me going I ran like the wind.I arrived at the cafe in less than 10 minutes then I did what I was instructed to do. When I arrived home a instantly fell asleep.
The next day
I walked to my locker alone cause I was avoiding Makayla dont want the truth to spill now do we.When I opened my locker an envelope fell out , when I opened it , it contained pictures of my dad and me .After the divorce my mom got rid of all his pictures she said she wasn't going to let me see that monster. When I was done looking at the pictures I noticed a letter it said
5218 Court Street
Wow, after so many years I'm going to finally get my answers. When school was over I rushed throw the doors then I heard my name being called I immediately turned around and saw Makayla.
" hey Makayla" I said
"where you rushing to?"
"I-um have to do something for my mom"
"can I come I have nothing to do? "
"No, she said go alone sorry."
"ok , well I'll call you later."
"yeah" I said then opening my car door.
20 minutes
I pulled up in front of a mansion , I rang the door bell seconds later a tall man with black hair and brown eyes opened the door he's eyes widen immediately so I'm guessing he remembered me .
"Constantine" he said sounding shock
"Dad , hey you're not going to invite your daughter in? "
" oh yeah sorry it's just that I'm shocked to see you here. But please come in ." he said moving from the door so I could enter. I walked in and sat on the couch.
"So do your mom know your here?"
"No, but I had to come I want answers . Why did you leave me ?" I said with tears running down my cheeks .
"Because your mother and I had you when we were young and I had big dreams my mother thought it would be right if I left to get an education without a child distracting me . I wanted to come back but your mother had grown to hate me , she didn’t want me to see you so I-um"
"gave up , you lefted without fighting for me"
"no, I-" we were interrupted by a teenage girl about my age .
"hey daddy, who's this?" she said which caused my eyes to widen
"honey this is your ........ step sister. Constantine this is Amanda, Amanda this is Constantine. "
" oh, this is the girl you left for me?" I then exploded with angry.
"YOU LEFT ME FOR THIS BARBIE B***H , HOW COULD YOU !!?"
"YES B***H, YES HE LEFT YOU FOR ME HE LOVES ME MORE HE ALWAYS HAS AND HE ALWAYS WILL!!" when she was done saying that I couldn't argue cause it was true. I rushed out the door with tears in my eyes. I could her my father calling my name but I ignored him and drove away.
How could he do that to me and then lie to my face.
The next day
I walked into school and sat down next to Makayla in homeroom .
"what's wrong? "
"nothing" After a few minutes of daydreaming , I saw two cops walk in . They talked to the teacher then came to me .
"Are you Constantine Adams?"
" Yes , how can I help you?"
"Ms . Adams you are being charged with the murder of Amanda Adams. "
I swear me and the universe both froze when he said that .
