chapter 5

Constantine's P.O.V

The next morning I woke up with Makayla by my side. She slept over cause her parents weren't home and her brother always throws insane parties when there's no adult supervision. I got up from my bed and entered the shower.

30 minutes later

I put on a oversized sweater, ripped jeans and a pair of converse sneakers . I tied my hair in a ponytail and headed down stairs. I opened the refrigerator and realized my mother was probably out shopping cause there was no food . I quickly wrote Makayla a note informing her I was out getting breakfast.

It took about ten minutes to get to the diner .This place served the best food and it had quick service .I grabbed my order off the counter but when I turned around I bumped into a hard chest.When I looked up I saw a pair of beautiful brown eyes staring at me then I realized who the owner was and immediately backed away .

" Hello Ms . Adams"

"The name's  Constantine and hello officer. " I wanted to sound nice but for some reason whenever I talk to him I had an attitude.

"The name's Jonathan" he said mocking me

"So what do I have like every officer in town following me around now."

"No , I was just getting my breakfast. "

"Well then don't let me stop you " I said ready to walk to the door but a pair of muscular hands  grabbed me.

"I know we just met but would you like to have dinner sometime and get to know each other? "

"As officer to suspect I don't think so."

"come on you seem like a nice girl I would love for us to be friends. "

"Don't you mean nice killer ,why do you want to be friends ?"

" Because in all honesty I don't think you did it."

"oh how sweet one officers sympathy " I said in a mocking tune. I saw his face full with sadness , I stared in his eyes trying to find the truth I finally gave up and said

"Fine"

His beautiful lips broke into a smile and he said "Great , I'll pick you up at 6:00"

"ok later" I said then walked out the door. To think I almost turned down a date from a hot officer now the only problem is what am I going to wear.

I arrived home and saw Makayla on the couch watching the Food network.The moment she heard the door open she jumped off the couch and run to me.

"it's about time you got here I was about to eat your T.V "

"yeah  I can see that, the food channel really"

"What I was desperate " she said grabbing the bag of food away from me.We sat and ate in silence but it seems like Makayla had enough so she said

"so what was taking so long cause I know the diner has fast service? "

"I dumped into the hot officer who's name is actually Jonathan. "

"so what happened did you get his number? "

"No,  but he asked me out on a date. "

"omg, I can't believe it what are you going to wear ?"

"I don't know maybe some jeans and shirt ."

" absolutely not matter fact I'm dressing you and no jeans you're wearing a dress ."

"fine , but the only dress I own is the bridesmaid dress from my cousin's wedding. "

Makayla then put on her thinking face and finally said

" I have dress to home that would fit you perfectly . you can have the rest of my food I'm going home ."

"ok see you later "

Great now I'm all alone , you know what that means time to eat ice cream and watch every episode of  Vampire diaries.

4 hours later

I heard my front door knock and I rolled off my comfortable couch and went to the door. When I opened the door Makayla was standing there with a make up kit ,  hair equipment , a dress and heels.
"ok, time for you to get ready. "

"But it's only 4:00 my date isn't until 6:00."

"soo, its going to take a long time to fix you up."

"fine lets go to my room. "

After an one hour and a half of torture

"omg Constantine you look so hot if I were a guy I would totally sleep with you. "

"I'll take that as a compliment. "

" What are you waiting for go look in the mirror. "

I got up from my seat and stood in front of the mirror , I saw a girl with long curly black hair , natural makeup ,a beautiful short dark blue dress which showed off her curves and she was wearing a pair of black heels . I stood there for about 5 minutes wondering if the girl in the mirror was really me and it was . I turned around to Makayla to say thank you but I was still speechless.

"So what do you think? "

"I look amazing! Thank you so much. "

"No problem you know your my girl."she said pulling me into a hug. I was going to tell her a million more thank you but the door bell rang.

"Go make me proud. "

"Thanks again if there's anything you need I got you. "

"Just go, cause when you come back I want every single detail."

"ok later" I said then run down stairs .I opened the door and saw Jonathan looking even more handsome then he usually did. When I opened the door wide enough for him to see my whole outfit he's looked like a hungry dog in front of a fresh piece of meat. He was checking me out from every angle which made me blush.He snapped back to reality when I said

" Are you going to stand there all day and check me out or are we going to eat?"

"Yeah, sure lets go . You look great by the way ."

"Yeah the drool by your mouth says it all."

He wiped his mouth then looked away feeling embarrassed. He opened the car door for me like a gentle man then went around to the driver's seat. I kept thinking to myself if things get serious after this date he will either be the best thing for me or the worst. I mean dating a suspect in a murder investigation isn't the best way to start off a new job as an officer.  He could just be playing me so I could open up to him but he wouldn't do that......................right?
