Clarification

Karna woke up outside somewhere but with a roof over him. Perhaps a covered porch. he begins to sit up, head not yet clear but he wants to see his surroundings

"You're not well enough, lay back down." A feminine voice speaks to him and he feels an odd compulsion to go ahead and do that

but right now his only goal is to confirm who and what is around. He sits up with barely a pause. Unknown to him he had just displayed a remarkable feat. Through sheer power of will he had simply ignored charm speak.

The girl certainly knows however, her face holding some surprise.

Karna looks around then focuses on the girl. It's the girl from earlier. Now that he's somewhat gathered himself up he realizes she has a very pretty appearance. Not that it matters much to him

"I've always been one to judge by act-" wait. Where is this thought coming from? He tries to remember why exactly he thinks he had always judged by actions but nothing comes to mind. Well at least now he knows he isn't shallow

He returns his focus to the girl and opens his mouth to speak

Piper had taken the most recent shift of watching the boy who had come to the camp so suddenly while his wounds and fatigue are handled by ambrosia.

His appearance had caused a stir. Some person suddenly comes running up the hill followed by a bunch of Stymphalian birds then next thing she knew half of them were burnt away. The only other demigod she had seen use fire like that is Leo, so is this another child of Hephaestus?

As she thinks about that he wakes up. She tried to convince him to rest more with charm speak. Perhaps a bit underhanded but she doubts his thoughts are logical yet. However after not even a second of hesitation he had simply sat up anyway

She's surprised by this, to the point that she forgets to say anything else until he says something

"Where are we?"

She snaps out of her surprise, enough time for that later. "You're at camp half-blood. This may be hard to comprehend but it's a place where demigods born from the Greek gods are trained, and in some cases, live permanently."

He nods silently in acknowledgent

He took that bizarre answer so casually that she thought maybe he's still daze, but that gaze proves her wrong

She hadn't noticed before but his eyes give off a very unsettling stare. Like he could see right through her

Before she can react to that, maybe ask him to turn away slightly or something, the sound of a horse's hooves can be heard

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Karna was starting to get the feeling that he's making this girl uncomfortable somehow when he hears the approach as well

When he turns in that direction he sees someone with the bottom half of a horse and the top half of a man

"I assume our newcomer has just recently woken up."

"Yes, Chiron."

The horse-man, Chiron, faces him

"You must be confused by now, but before I explain, may I know your name?"

"My name is Karna, if my little memory is correct."

He seems surprised somewhat by this, of course being as knowledgeable as he is he recognizes the name of a Hindu hero. Odd for someone who would come to this Greek camp

"Well then, Karna, what are your questions?"

"I don't have any except. Why did I end up here?"

"I cannot explain that in great detail unfortunately but I can guess- oh my"

The random interruption confuses Karna until he realizes the two are looking above him.

When he looks as well he sees fire forming an artistic image of the sun. The symbol quickly fades

Chiron smiles at him but it's a somewhat troubled smile. As if he had a suspicion and he doesn't know if it's good or bad

"I'll inform the Apollo cabin that they'll be receiving a new member soon."
