Ferdinand, Nina, Juan and all his friends watched television together as the normal days of their lives.

-I'm going to Manuel's sanctuary, take care of everything while I'm not here, ok honey? Juan got up, picking up the keys of the van from the table in the living room.

-Awww, but I want to go there too! She jumped up and then got excited about the idea.

-No sweetie, you're going to stay here! He replied, patting her head.

-Why? I love there, it's very noble that he has given up his farm to become a sanctuary for rescued animals! She said.

-Okay, I'll tell you. I'll bring a surprise to you! He said.

-Really? And what is it? She smiled broadly.

-If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise anymore, would it? He replied, raising an eyebrow.

-Awww that's so unfair! She grunted, crossing her arms in discouragement.

-I promise it'll be worth, okay? He laughed.

-Hm, okay, see you later! She hugged her dad and right after, he left.

Meanwhile, in the sanctuary, everything was very quiet, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and all the rescued cows and bulls were enjoying their new lives. Two of these cows were in the barn, trying to encourage a small calf to go and play with the others.

-Marisol, dear, why aren't you going to play with the other calfs? One of the cows, who was a beautiful brown cow asked her.

-No, I'm fine, Filomena! She replied without any good mood.

-Aw cheer up, kid, not all cows are as lucky as we are! The cow accompanied by Filomena told her.

-Without my mommy here, I'll never be happy! She gave her last word, going back into the barn where she slept at night.

-Do you think we should tell her that her mother died at her birth? Filomena asked.

-Of course not, and let this girl even more sad than she already is? Sofie answered.

-But it's her mother, I think she has the right to know the truth!

-Someday in the future, Filo, someday in the future! Sofie replied calmly.

-But how? If she's leaving out of here today?

After their dialogue, Juan and Manuel were went to the barn.

-Can I really take Marisol to my home? Juan asked him.

-Of course, Nina will love her ... Poor thing, so young, pretty and without her mother. She's always so depressed, who knows she'll be happier next to you guys? He said, hopeful.

-Sure, like you said, Nina's going to love her, there's plenty of room for her to play with and there are lots of bovine friends in my house. She'll feel at home!

-She must be in the barn, she barely gets out of there! He said, pointing to the right direction.

They two entered the barn and he held her with a rope, thinking that she was going to a slaughterhouse before meeting her mother, Marisol totally despaired and fought with all her strength not to be taken.

-No, don't take me to the slaughterhouse! She screamed and cried desperately.

-Darling, you're not going to a slaughterhouse, you're going to another farm! Sofie shouted at her.

This calmed her down as they put her inside the truck. When they arrived at the farm, a cloth was placed in her head while she was placed in the other barn.

When he entered the house, Nina immediately stood up:

-Dad, you arrived! She shouted happily, running to him and gave him a hug.

-I know, you're waiting for your surprise! He said.

-Technically not, but since you've raised the issue! She answered with a nervous laughter.

-How funny, you'll find your surprise in the barn!

She got up and ran to the barn, dying of curiosity to see which her birthday gift was.

Meanwhile, the bulls were bored when Nina stopped playing with them.

-So, what are we going to do now? Bones asked, totally bored.

-I don't know about you guys, but I want to see what the surprise is! Ferdinand replied running out to the barn too.

Nina slowly walked into the barn and found Marisol, she was still scared with so much things happening at the same time in her life.

-Hey, you don't have to be scared of me! Nina approached slowly, when she raised her hand to caress her little head, Marisol stepped back scared.

Until after some time, she managed to win the trust of Marisol.

-You're such a good boy! Nina kissed her forehead and then looked beneath her.-Oh, sorry, you're such a good girl!

Marisol gave a small smile, knowing she would be safe there.
