The sun had set and night had come, yet Juan hadn't come home.
Even though she was worried about her father, Nina decided to go to bed, feeling tired from having to take care of so many animals,
but it was totally worth it.
Before going to bed, she took some milk and put it in a bottle to give to Marisol.
"Now, my dear, you will have your milk." She hummed, bringing the bottle closer to the baby cow.
Marisol curiously sniffed the bottle. Realizing that it was food, she wasted no time and started drinking the milk, Nina always left the bottle upside down, so that milk wouldn't get into her nose, something she learned from her father.
When she was done, she yawned with sleep and lay down, her head resting on Ferdinand's body.
He smiled affectionately at her, there was no more adorable being in the world.
"Good night, Marisol." he said softly.
"Good night Ferd, good night Nina." She babbled, before finally falling asleep.
Not long after everyone in the house had fallen asleep, Juan had finally arrived with all the rescued heifers. They were all very different, but they were very companions to each other.
Clementina, was a baby cow with cream hair and amber eyes, she was the sweetest and most romantic of them.
Esmeralda, was a Scottish calf cow, which they did not know the name of, as they did not speak the same language as her, so they named her inspired by the intense green color of her eyes. She was a little headstrong, but when conquered by someone, she was docile and playful.
Soledad, was a beautiful albino cow, she was the oldest of the cows, wise and sweet, but at the same time a little suspicious, she treated the girls as her own daughters, since very young, she had been separated from her son.
María Flor, was a baby cow with brown skin and blue eyes, she was a little shy and didn't talk much, but she liked her friends.
Lastly, Daisy, a piebald baby cow with dark brown eyes, who didn't like to show her emotions too much.
The next day, Nina was overjoyed to find when she woke up, she met and connected with all her new pets, but Marisol seemed a little wary of meeting the new companions.
"Go and talk to them." Nina tried to encourage her, gently stroking her head.
After taking a deep breath, Marisol approached them.
"H-hi." She smiled.
"Hello my dear." Soledad greeted her with a smile. "Do you live here long?"
"Actually, I got here yesterday." She answered. "I'm Marisol, and you are?"
"Oh I'm Soledad." The older cow introduced herself. "This is Daisy."
"Hey." Daisy greeted her in a not-so-nice way.
"Clementina."
"Hey." Clementina smiled at her.
"María Flor." She introduced the little one, giving her a little push to get her to talk to Marisol.
"H-hi." She greeted her, quiet as a mouse.
"And Esmeralda."
Esmeralda said something in her native language, which they didn't understand, but they pretended to agree.
"She's a foreigner." Soledad clarified. "But we love her anyway."
"Your names are so cool and you guys seem so cool too." Marisol smiled. "Lets be friends?"
