While this was happening, Marisol showed each part of the farm to her new companions, always demonstrating how amazing it was to live there.
"Wow, this farm never seems to end this big!" Daisy commented enthusiastically. "Isn't it beautiful, Clementine?"
The heifer turned to see that her friend was distracted and called out to her again.
"Oh yes, very pretty." The young cow said, but everyone noticed how her mind was elsewhere, or rather, on someone. "Did you notice how sweet he was to help me?"
"Who? The ugly, scrawny one?" Daisy asked, always bluntly.
"Daisy, don't say such things about our new companions." Soledad scolded her.
"But it's true."
"Ugly? Skeletal?" Clementina repeated, feeling offended by the insults given to him. "Look, I have to admit he looks unattractive on the outside, but on the inside..."
"Is he disgusting?" María Flor interrupted her with a question.
"Does he smell?" Marisol asked curiously, which made her scoff.
"You would never understand." She said. "When I looked into his eyes, I saw a special glow, I can't really explain what I'm feeling, but I can't get him out of my mind."
They all looked at each other, confirming that the sweet and sensitive Clementina had fallen in love.
Marisol knew that feeling all too well.
"Aww girls, I think she's in love." The black heifer said, as he gave her a light push on her waist with his own.
Daisy rolled her eyes, knowing that one more of her old ladies had fallen into love's trap, but she wasn't going to submit to it.
"Looks like the idea that we don't need bulls to live has been thrown to the side, right Dai Dai?" María Flor said, teasing her friend.
"I knew this would happen and you would make fun of me for it." She said.
"Aw you know it's not serious, it's what friends do." She replied, wrapping one of her legs around her shoulders.
"What did you think of everything, Esmeralda?" Marisol asked her.
The heifer soon spoke in the language they didn't understand and asked Soledad to call Angus.
Later that night, the girls slept in Juan's room, Lupe occupied the couch, the boys slept outside the house, and Marisol and Ferdinand continued to sleep beside Nina. Whenever the girl slept, they would talk to each other about how their days were, it made them even closer than they already were.
"How are you doing with the girls?" The older bull asked her. "Do you all really get along?"
"Yes I really like playing with all of them, Soledad doesn't like to joke around, but she's pretty cool anyway."
"I'm glad you're fitting in. You won't forget about me, will you?" He teased, sending her a playful look.
She smiled and leaned her head against his body, before yawning with sleep.
"Don't be silly, you will always be my favorite playmate." Marisol assured him. "I love you so much."
"I love you too darling." Ferdinand replied, before falling asleep as she did.
