REAL LIFE

"okay so there's been a slight change of plans," francesca whispered to rosario as the pair stood in line for the ferris wheel behind dacre and joe.

"oh no, what's happening?" the raven haired girl asked her friend, keeping her voice at the same level of quietness.

"okay, so instead of you and me going on the ferris wheel together it's gonna be me and dacre, and you and joe," frankie smiled at rosario hoping she would go along with the new plan.

rosario nodded her head and smiled back at her friend. she was actually pretty surprised that francesca and dacre hadn't started pairing off sooner throughout the night like natalia and charlie did right when they got to the pier, immediately going off to do their own thing.

"yes, thanks so much," frankie gave rosario a quick hug and then went off to tell dacre the news, while rosario went to go talk to her new ferris wheel partner.

"hello, my fellow third wheel buddy," she said to joe, smiling softly.

upon seeing the girl joe immediately smiled back. "hey, glad to know you're living up to your promise of not leaving me as a lonely third wheel."

"i never break promises," rosario told him.

"me neither," joe replied back as they both watched dacre and francesca get on the ferris wheel. "ten bucks says that once we get off of this ride they're gonna go off and do their own thing." rosario quickly agreed on the bet, shaking hands with him.

moments later the next car came and they got on it. the ride started off slow like ferris wheel's usually do, but as the car got higher and higher rosario could slowly feel her hands becoming more and more clammy. she thought and really believed that this fear was over, but sadly, apparently it was not.

joe noticed the wary look on rosario's face. "hey, you okay?"

"yeah, i'm fine," she laughed a bit in an attempt to hide her nervousness, but failed miserably. "i'm just a tiny bit scared of heights."

"shit," joe breathed out. "we didn't have to get on if you were scared."

"no, it's okay. just talk about something, anything. it doesn't matter what," rosario told him as she stared straight ahead at the ocean in front of them instead of looking down.

"um, okay," joe tried to think of something to say. "so, filming starts in a week. are you ready to go to georgia?"

"yeah, i've never been before, but all of you guys are really nice, so i think it's gonna be great," rosario answered.

"when you get there i can show you around atlanta/jackson if you want. their pretty cool towns," joe offered and rosario nodded glancing at him for a moment before turning back to look at the ocean.

"sure, that would be great," she smiled.

"okay, so it's a date then," joe said, and then once he realized what he said he tried to quickly turn it around. "fuck, my bad. i didn't mean date like an actual date, but date like a friend hang out type of thing. y'know?"

rosario laughed lightly at how flustered joe got right then and just shook her head at him. "it's fine, joe. i know what you meant."

joe sighed in relief. "okay good."

a comfortable silence began to linger between the two as they made it to the top of the ferris wheel. that continued until the ride began to creek and come to an abrupt stop causing rosario to yelp and immediately grab onto joe's hand.

"sorry, i got startled," she said and began to pull her hand away from joe's, but she stopped once the ride suddenly started moving again.

joe gave rosario's hand a light squeeze. "it's okay."

for the rest of the ride joe and rosario's hands stayed firmly attached to one another. when they eventually got off dacre and francesca were nowhere to be seen.

"so where's my ten bucks?" joe smirked.

"damn it, frankie," rosario sighed laughing a bit as she handed joe a ten dollar bill.

"okay, now let's go put this money to good use and play some games," he offered.

rosario nodded her head and smiled. "sounds like fun."
