Ashley's POV
It's been a few weeks since that incident on the beach with Drew. I couldn't stay mad at Alex long, he was only trying to help me. But what he didn't realize was that I was happy without Drew. Well, happy enough.
I had just finished going shopping. I've been living with Lauren, Amanda, and Tara since tour ended. Ever since Alex and I talked, I think he finally got the message that we would just never happen so he's actually been dating Amanda for a few weeks now. I'm glad he's moved on from me, and I'm glad Amanda has found a great guy like him. They really are perfect for each other.
I brought my key to the lock of my apartment door. Even though it was still an apartment, it was more like a house. I had gotten a new one since I had left for tour, just so there would be enough room for all of us. I walk through the door and see Wesley and Tara on the coach making out. I cleared my throat to make sure they knew I was there and they sprang apart faster than a deer caught in headlights. It was kind of funny and quiet hard not to laugh.
"Sorry guys. Where is everyone else?" I asked as I set the bags down on the kitchen table.
"Amanda went over Alex's house and I think Lauren and Keaton went to the beach." Tara responds calmly.
Both Lauren and Keaton, and Wesley and Tara have been great since I hooked them up. I guess I really am a great match maker. I got the rest of the bags out from the car and put them away into the fridge.
Lauren's POV
My hand was intertwined perfectly with Keaton's as we walked along the beach. The sun was just setting and it was the perfect way to end a perfect day. We've only been dating for a little over a month, but I think this relationship is going to last. Keaton's not like the other guys. He's sweet, and funny, and caring... He's awkward, and sometimes he lacks confidence in himself. Whenever I'm upset, he gives me space but at the same time tries to talk to me and it makes me feel better. He lets me choose the movie, and he's just a lot more caring than most guys. I can't thank Ashley enough for setting us up.
Keaton leans down and kisses me gently. He is just about to deepen the kiss when someone shoves us, in attempt to run past us. What the hell is their problem. I look at the person, whose back is now towards us, and they are running with a camera, with a lady in heels right behind him.
"What is going on?" I ask Keaton. The news people are here, running towards something.
He shrugs before opening his mouth, "I don't know. But lets find out." And with that, he grabs my hand again lacing our fingers together, and we start running towards the scene. What I see though is not what I expected.
It's Drew.
He's just sitting on the ground with his guitar in hand and a picture of Ashley sitting on the ground to his right. People are gathered around, not teenage girls, but newscasters.
"Drew, what are you doing?" Keaton asks, stepping forward, grabbing Drew's attention.
"I'm getting her back man. And I'm not leaving this spot until she takes me back." He says. So this is what he's doing. I don't know whether to think it's romantic or creepy but it's definitely extreme.
"Excuse me, sir! Can you explain to me what you are doing?" A blonde reporter asked him. Drew didn't seem annoyed. It's like he wanted the press here, so that Ashley would be able to see it on the news.
"This girl right here", he holds up the picture of Ashley and him. Her hair is red at the time, and they are laughing in the picture. They look so happy. "She is the love of my life and I let her go. This is the exact spot that we met and I'm not leaving until I get her back." He states simply. I don't know what he's thinking right now but I just hope after all of this, he and Ashley will get back together.
