Anya and Link rushed through the forest, finally finding the Great Deku Tree. Anya gasped slightly as she saw a figure  slumped against the base of it. She guessed it was Vaati, though she couldn't be sure. He had pale lavender skin that was almost white at the moment, a black 'T' shaped mark under his one visible eye. He had long white hair that covered his right eye, a violet pointed cap on his head. He had a purple tunic on and red trousers and sandals, though his tunic was stained dark red from presumably blood.

"Vaati!" Link said as he rushed over to the wounded figure. Anya hesitated a moment before following, looking upon the injured wind mage with pity.

"Link...?" Vaati said, sounding dazed as he slowly opened up his eyes, showing them to be a red color. Anya gave a pitying whimper at the poor guy's state, Link kneeling down next to the injured wind mage.

"Yeah. Vaati, listen to me. We have to get you someone who can heal this for you," Link said. Vaati gave a shaky nod, grimacing as he put his hand over the wound on his abdomen. His groaned slightly as his other hand pulled slightly at the black chain collar around his throat.

"I have some healing potions that could help," Anya said as she quickly began rummaging through her travel pouch for said potions.

"I'm summoned by dark magic...your healing potions won't do anything for me..." Vaati said, his voice whispery. Anya gave a whimper as her green gaze settled on the collar around his neck, before she looked at Link.

"How do we get the chain off him? We used the Megaton hammer on Volga, would that work...?" Anya said hesitantly. Link looked back at Vaati in thought, before nodding.

"It's worth a shot," Link said with a nod. He inched a bit closer to Vaati as he pulled the chain slightly forward. Vaati winced slightly as Link grabbed the chain while Anya pulled the Megaton hammer out from her travel pouch. Vaati saw the hammer, his eyes widening slightly.

"Woah woah...you sure about this?" He said worriedly.

"I trust her aim. Plus, it's all we got right now," Link said, nodding to Anya. She hesitated, before tightening her grip on the Megaton hammer and swinging it at the black chain where Link was holding it. There was a resounding clang as the black metal chipped and fractured, but didn't break. Two more swings from the hammer and the chain was off from around the wind mage's neck.

Vaati seemed stunned as he stared at the chain that had fallen off, feeling around his neck where it had been choking him before. He gave a small smile, his eyes watering up slightly in relief. He looked up at Anya, still wearing that same expression.

"Thank you," he said softly. Anya returned the smile and nodded as she put the Megaton hammer back into her bag.

"Of course," she said. Her ear twitched as she heard a sound similar to that of wing beats distantly behind her. Vaati's gaze shifted slightly as both she and Link turned towards the sound.

"Volga...?" Vaati said, his voice growing weaker. Soon enough, said dragon came into view, flying at high speeds through the forest. A second figure was somehow keeping up with him, running through the tree branches with grace. Anya tried to make out the details of the second figure, but her effort was in vain.

Volga landed next to Vaati, kneeling down and examining the wound. The two began conversing in a strange language that Anya had no hope of understanding, Volga's rough gravelly voice seeming to naturally suit the harsh language he spoke.

Anya then turned back to try and glimpse the figure in the trees. To her surprise, said figure was standing under a tree in plain view. She seemed to be a young girl like her, possibly only 15-16 years of age. She had short green hair that curled around her pointed ears and jaw, her eyes the same green as her hair. She had on a green tunic with a brown belt and a creamy golden colored buckle, tan boots coming up to about her knees with cream colored pants on. Anya blinked, before giving a small wave. The figure returned the wave with a gentle smile. Anya was drawn back into the conversation the guys were having as Volga spoke.
