Honestly, his voice annoyed the living shit out of me. Somehow everything he said managed to piss me off. Every single fucking word irritated me beyond belief. I could strangle him, but then I'd be left without him in my life and I needed Hordan for some odd reason, he made me mad so fucking often, but he also made me feel alive, loved.
No matter how much I hated that tall idiot, my infatuation for him overcame it constantly. Fuck, we have only been together for a few months and I'm already so in love with him. This is going to end up exactly like Aleks and I's relationship. It was Hordan in the first place who had told me Aleks was cheating on me with Seamus, then a week after that, he asked me out.
Tonight was our first real date outside the office since I came to live with him and the other Creatures in Colorado, he was taking me out for a special birthday dinner. For me, this was just another day, not really a celebration or "special" day in my eyes.
I was still so fucking nervous, though, and I didn't know why. Hordan was so cool about everything and was so fucking chill. I, on the other hand, was worrying like a motherfucker. I was sitting in the stream room, trying to occupy myself until Hordan was done editing. I smiled thinking about his name, Hordan. My little nickname for him. Chuckling, my mind flashed back to when I had first called him that.
My fingers slammed into the keyboard as I was killed again by my boyfriend. We had been dating for a month, but I still lived in PA, so far from my wonderful asshole of a boyfriend. "Goddamnit, Kootra! You are such a fucking try hard, you fuck! I fucking hate you!",I yelled.
He had killed me so many fucking times while I wanted to just fucking mess with the others in the game at the moment."Sorry, babe.",he chuckled,"I just want to win. It's an instinct." I rolled my eyes."Sure, you fuck, just how it's your instinct to be a fucking asshole.",I stated, crossing my arms,"I fucking hate you."
"No you don't. You love me!",Kootra sang, smiling over Skype,"And I love you, Jamie." I looked at his face and smiled."I love you, too, Hordan!",I replied, giggling at the nickname I had came up with. His eyes widened in surprise at the sudden nickname. I made my hands into a heart sign and laughed.
"Is that going to be our thing now, James?",Hordan asked, face palming his forehead,"You just calling me, Hordan?" I shrugged my shoulders and turned my attention back to the monitor with the game being displayed.
"Let's get back the game so I can finally kick your ass, Hordan."
"James!",Jordan yelled,"I'm finished, you ready to go?"
I snapped out of my flashback and turned to see Jordan standing in the doorway. My jaw dropped to the ground, I swear it. He was so handsome, his dress pants were neatly ironed and his button up shirt fit nicely on his body. Of course his special red cap sat on his head. I felt smaller compared to him, and a bit like an oaf. Jordan smiled at me and grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers. "Happy Birthday, you stupid jerk.",he chuckled, and pecked my lips softly. I blushed realizing how gentle he treated me, as if I'd just break or disappear at any moment.
"Thanks, babe.",I said, blushing slightly,"So where are you taking me?" He hadn't explained anything to me other than it being a surprised, but I fucking hated surprises. He placed his finger on my lips. "Just shut up and let's get going, birthday boy!",Jordan said, pulling me behind him. He led me outside to the parking lot, but he didn't turn to the direction of his car. He began to walk to the field next to the office. Where I had planted an egg next to Wendy for him to find. Chuckling, I followed him, curious of the sudden change in my image of where I thought we were heading.
Jordan saw my confused expression and grinned. "Just wait, your surprise is at the end of this field.",he reassured, squeezing my hand. I just nodded and continued to be pulled along. It had started to snow a little while we walked, and in the after sunset sky, the snowflakes would catch the slightest light from a lamppost or sun rays available and twinkle, making them look like tiny flames.
The snow fell into my hair and on my exposed arms, giving me goosebumps. I looked around, making sure we weren't just walking in circles. My eyes widened, in the distance, I could see an enormous amount of lights strung up in the trees surrounding the field. On the ground I could see a blanket on the grassy part left untouched by the snow because of the thick tree limbs above it. Hordan turned to me and kissed me before sitting down on the dry blanket. He grabbed the picnic basket at the end and pulled out a platter of sandwiches and a bottle of wine.
I sat down next to him, trying to warm my arm from the snow. Jordan went back into the basket and pulled out two wine glasses. "Oh, someone's on their high horse tonight!",I joked, taking the first glass, after he had filled it, in my hand. The wine warmed my throat and left me with a fruity aftertaste. "Hordan, this is so fucking nice, but really, you didn't have to do all this for just my birthday, you dumb.",I explained, sipping from the wine glass again.
"Yes I did, James.",Jordan replied, biting into a sandwich,"This is the day of your birth! We had to have celebrated it in some special way, dork." He swallowed his sandwiched and sipped at his own wine before turning back to me.
"James, you know I love you, right? With all my heart, you have been with me since the start. You helped me get over Monica and that made me realize that you were the perfect one meant for me, Jamie.",Hordan spoke, scratching nervously at the back of his head, picking up his hat slightly,"You make me feel like I'm perfect, even when I know I'm not. We argue and tease each other a lot, but we still have a such a strong bond even with some of those harsh word."
Jordan stood up from his spot of the ground and walked to the front of the tree keeping the snow off of us. He reached inside the hole in tree and pulled out a shiny, black box. I gasped. Was he-
"James, will you marry me? I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you and be able to call you mine forever.",Jordan stated, on his knee, in front of me sitting cross legged. My mouth was unable to move, I was shocked so I just nodded my head excitedly, making this weird gurgling noise. Hordan took the ring out of the box and placed it on my finger. My arms wrapped around his neck and I pulled him down for another kiss, tasting the wine on his tounge.
"I love you, Hordan."
"I love you, too, Jamie."
