-Shane's POV-

I woke up beside Lisa. I knew exactly what I did the night before and I admittedly started to regret it. I quietly got out of the bed and ran out of the bedroom.

It was 8:15 am and I was feeling lonely even though I was cuddling on the couch with Corny and Lisa was asleep in the bedroom. It was almost like I forgot something or someone. Or the feeling you get when you walk past a homeless man and his dog and make up a lie that you're in a rush. Just that awful gut feeling.

I stared at my phone which was on the coffee table, I was contemplating picking it up or not. I turned on my stomach, deciding against it when suddenly it rang. I jumped off the couch and picked up my phone. It was Joey.

(On the phone) Joey:

Um.. Shane?

(On the phone) Shane:

Yeah Joey? What is it?

(On the phone) Joey:

I know it's random for me to be calling you at this time but I was wondering if you'd like to come over? I need to tell you something.

(On the phone) Shane:

Can't you tell me now?

(On the phone) Joey:

I could-but I need to tell you in person.

(On the phone) Shane:

If it's that important, I'll be right over! See you in five.

Without saying goodbye, Joey hung up.

-Joey's POV-

I was getting ready for Shane and I caught a glance of myself in the mirror. I stood there, most likely looking like an idiot, and checked myself out.

"Ugh, I look so gross!" I tried to fix my hair.

"I just want to be happy with myself," I looked in the mirror, with tears welling up in my eyes.

I bent down to open my cabnit and took out some pain killers, even though I wasn't in pain physically but I was mentally.

I was about to break into tears over my self appearance when there was a knock on my bedroom door.

"Joey? You in here?" a voice called for me.

"Uh, yeah," I walked out of the bathroom, it was Shane.

-Shane's POV-

Joey walked out of the bathroom and he looked amazing. I could feel that lonely feeling slowly go away the more I looked at him. I should've known. It's Joey. Joey's the one thing in my life that I'm missing. But I have Lisa....

"So, what's the important thing you needed to tell me?!" I asked.

Joey took my hand and brought me to the end of his bed. We sat down and there was a five minute silence.

"Shane. I uhh," he looked down at his feet. I knelt down in front of him and held his hands.

" C'mon, you can do it," I encouraged him.

-Joey's POV-

Shane was now inches away from me.

" C'mon, you can do it," he looked in my eyes.

I took a deep breath, this all felt like de ja vu. Is this what I saw in my dream?

"Shane," I looked into his eyes,"I have CML. Which is Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia."
