Of all it's numerous buildings. The most impressive of all of them in Psychic City was none other then the Military Tower. This was where those who were determined as the most lethal and worthy combatants were taken. Only levels 3 to 5 ever made it this high in this ranking above ordinary ground troops...and not many ever survived long enough to make it here.
Mikaris remembered the first day she had come into this building when she had just turned 13. Having passed her IQ exams with flying colors, and surpassed all of the other children in becoming a level 5, she had been immediately brought to the Psychic Supreme.
Shivering, and out of her mind with fear, she had stood in that large dark room full of holographic flying shapes wondering what the Psychic Supreme wanted with her. Usually those who were called to see the Psychic Supreme were never seen again. Was she about to go the same way?
"I see you've lost an eye.." the Psychic Supreme had said. "Can you tell me why?"
"I cut it out myself." Mikaris had said..but after that she said no more.
"I see.." said Psychic Supreme. "One must be extremely ruthless if they are to pull off such an extemity in order to become strong...would you be my ruthless weapon?"
"W-weapon?"
"I don't suppose you ever heard of a railgun?" said the Psychic Supreme. "It is said to be so powerful, that before Psychic City took over much of the planet, it's use as a weapon was deemed too expensive as it required such a massive amount of power. However, we live in a more...convenient era...I've seen the tests, quite the signature move you've developed for yourself...one little coin, and in it you've packed so much destruction. I need a weapon like that...I need a Railgun.."
Mikaris could practically hear the greed in the voice of the unseen man...the desire to control her power.
"I need you to be that Railgun.." Said the Psychic Supreme. "Well? What do you say?"
"I suppose if I refuse..you dispose of me.." said Mikaris.
"In a manner of speaking...human cells are actually useful fuel resources."
"Fine." said Mikaris.. "Where do I start?"
Mikaris snapped out of her flashback and back into the present. Currently she was sitting at a long metal table in what appeared to be a meeting room. Along with her, 6 others were present, including General Shokuhou who was sitting in the chair next to her.
At the far right on the other side of the table, sat Domus Accelerator, who had his hands clasped together and his head bowed whiled he muttered to himself repeatidly about who knows what. 'The Slicer' Kanzaki, sat on the other end, calm and silent as usual, though Mikaris could feel the faint aura of a barely controled anger coming from her as a result of having recently lost her quarry. (Kanzaki was the only one who didn't possess an A.E.A since she wasn't an esper)
On Kanzaki's left, sat a red haired girl with a bored expression that looked as if it might turn cruel and sadistic at any time. she had two small red twin tails tied on her hair, and her armor was perhaps one of the more feminine looking armors besides Mikaris's, being a leotard as well, only it was pure white and there were a few red armaments on her shoulders, boots, and arms. At her side was strapped a long black flashlight. This was the 6th General, 'Death Shadow' Musujime, the only Level 4 among the Divine Generals, and a proficient Teleporter who could teleport objects to a location of her choosing without touching them (Unlike her Earthland Counterpart Awaki, she doesn't have any trouble teleporting her own body.) Rumor had it that the A.E.A enhancements gave her the ability to put her body into a state of partial teleportation, so she could be in two places at once in an intangible state.
