The man known as Jellal sat atop the rocky outcropping, his back against the moon. His eyes narrowed as he watched for one of his fellow guild members of Crime Sorciere. The independent guild that was built to take down dark forces...and ensure no other wizards ever again emerged who were consumed and corrupted by darkness.

Behind him, a tall slim man with crimson spikey hair and one closed eye that had a scar across the lid stood silently. Listening as he always was.

"Erik...can you hear anything?" said Jellal.

"For one of the few times in my life." said Cobra. "No...I can't..everything's absolutely silent...too silent if you get my drift."

"And Meredy still isn't back.." said Jellal. "That means..."

"We're being watched...by somebody who knows how to counter our detection magic." said Cobra. "Well that's annoying."

"If they wanted to harm us, they would have done so already." said Jellal. "Why don't we try a different approach?"

"Different approach?" said Cobra raising an eyebrow. "Wait...don't tell me...you can't really expect they'll just come out because you ask them to.."

Suddenly there was a puff of smoke and confetti right behind Cobra who jumped back in alarm.

"Night Reveler!" Jellal growled standing up.

"WRONGO!!" said the harlequin jubilantly as he stepped out of the shadows. "Call me the Edolas version! Twilight Prankster's the name, mass mayhem's the game! How's it going!?"

"Well well...so even Hydra Head has their own Edolas counterparts." said Cobra. "You don't look that different...unless you count the color change."

"So you're from Edolas." said Jellal narrowing his eyes. "What do you want?"

"What do I want?" said Twilight Prankster scratching his head. "Let's see...a yacht...a ferrari, and to sneak into Bill Gate's home and steal all his valuble art while replacing it with beach photos of Mirajane Strauss....oh goodie that would be fun!"

"Enough with the jokes." said Jellal. "I'm asking you what your intentions for being here are."

"Well..." said Twilight Prankster. "I have a proposition.....what do you feel about a funny little clown like me joining your guild?"

Academy City, Windowless Building. 2 weeks later.

Aleister Crowley felt unnaturally happy....while usually people who just had a war start in their own back yard would feel terrible, Aleister Crowley was different. After all, this was all going according to plan.

Motoharu Tsuchimikado stood nearby his glasses glinting in the light of the erie liquid tank that held Academy City's supervisor. "You know...you can be really sick when you want to be."

"And that's news to you?"

"No." said Tsuchimikado. "But there's no need to rub it in everyone's faces."

"This war is finally progressing as I intended it to. My ultimate objective is finally clear to me." said Aleister. "The piece of Dravis's heart will be mine."

"And once you have that stinking peice of evil.." said Tsuchimikado. "What do you intend to do then? What makes you think you can control it's power?"

"It's not the power contained within." said Aleister. "More like the incentive. Not only will I hold a dark power within my hands...but Dravis will have no choice but to submit to my demands...The Lord Of Destruction himself will barter with me...or his death will be certain."

"And what about Railgun and the rest of her friends in Fairy Tail?" asked Tsuchimikado. "What are you going to do with them?"

"They will be my searchers...I will allow Miss Misaka to pass through the trials and obtain her prize." said Aleister. "However...when she has found the heart...it will be mine for the taking..."

"You will fail...They will become wise to you. And just so you know...I don't think you could make a more dangerous enemy then that particular guild."

"We shall let fate decide if you are right." said Aleister. "Right now...I just want to see how this pricey gamble turns out."
