I can't believe I agreed to this. I look down at my outfit. Kelsi's clothes she left for me so I wouldn't embarrass her with my laid back look. I am wearing a long, but not long enough, black and white marbled maxi skirt and a black quarter sleeve shirt. Little does she know I am wearing my tattered grey vans. I came here once two years ago when my cousin, Trevor came into town. He has gotten big on YouTube. The parking lot is packed as usual, I end up parking three blocks away.
Once inside I wave to the hostess and search for Kels and Bradly. They are seated at a booth in the back corner. The walls have old beer ads and sports paintings scattering up them and a different game on each T.V.
Kelsi leaps from her seat to me. I literally just lived with her for 8 months. "Why are you hugging me?" I sound irritated. Good.
"Because, after tonight I won't see you until next year." She gave me her puppy eyes. Her deep brown eyes caught the sunlight to perfectly. I she pulled me by the wrist and sat me down next to her. The idea of leaving pains me. I love it here, but then again, LA. I laugh to myself a little. I wonder why she isn't sitting with Bradly. He leaves for Maine soon.
"Are you happy you're going home?" Bradly's eyes train on me. We don't talk very often except when Kelsi is around. He is a good guy, he doesn't really do much but run.
"Yeah. I miss Trevor and my aunt and uncle," I pause. I wonder if I should visit my parents. No. Screw that.
-------------------------
We have been sitting here for a good two hours.
"Okay the suspense is killing me." Kelsi squeals.
"What?" I turn to Brad who has a smirk on his face.
"Can we do it now?" She reaches across the table, grabbing his wrists and he nods. Bradly gets up and walks to another table and talks to some boy. He stands and follows him back to out table. I can't believe my eyes.
"Trevor!" I stand and run to him, hugging him tightly. He gasps a little.
"Tonnie.......Vocal. Chords. Need, Air." I release and laugh at him. Trevor Moran. My little superstar cousin. "Hi how are you?" He smiles angelically. I love this kid.
"What are you doing here?" I push his shoulder and rudely ignore his question. He glances at Kels and nods. He reaches into his back pocket and pulls out an envelope. "Oh Trev, you shouldn't have." He just giggles. I peel back the paper and reveal the contents. VIP pass and tickets to Vidcon. My jaw drops.
"Do you like it?" Kelsi squeezes my shoulders from behind.
"Come on guys this stuff only happens in movies. Is there a hidden camera somewhere?" I look around jokingly.
Trevor hugs me. "I know you may not be IN Vidcon, but hey you get to come to Vidcon." I can feel my smile taking up my whole face.
Little did I know that this little piece of paper would be the key to the most exciting summer of my life.
