"Oh it's on." Jc's voice says as I race off. I feel a laugh rising from my stomach to my throat then the next thing I know I am cackling. I hear Jc doing the same. We pull up to a stop sign at a busy crosswalk. "You have a cute laugh."

"Thanks." I raise the end of the word on question.

"Wow." His head whips at me.

"What?"

"A girl who actually took a compliment." He chuckles and punches me in the shoulder.

"Is that a bad thing?" I say backing way.

"No, no, no. That's good." He looks at me softly. His has big brown eyes that remind me of hot cocoa and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We begin to cross the walk after the light changes. We go slow and just cruise even though he is more than late. "Wait-"

"Oh what now Caylen?" I sigh sarcastically.

"I never got your name, Trevor's cousin." He nudges me from his board across the space between us and makes balance waiver.

"Stop that-- I am Tonnie Brooker." I glance at him then look down at my shoes, the grey now tinted a slight brown. "I am a YouTuber too."

"Really? Sweet." We ride up to the venue. "Here. Take this." He removes his hoodie, while in the process knocking his snapback to the ground. We both reach for it at the same time and our hands almost touch, but I pull away fast.

"Thanks." It is a simple blue hoodie from Pacsun that offers little warmth, which is fine for LA. I pull it over and take my lanyard out and wrap the string around my wrist.

"Well Tonnie Brooker, you seem pretty chill when you aren't being knocked to the ground. How about you and I hang sometime? Maybe we could collab." He rests his hand on my shoulder. He has small hands.

"Sure thing. Sounds great." I brush his hand off. "Aren't you a little late?"

"Oh shi- I mean shoot. Okay bye Tonnie." He rushes in through the doors on his penny board and gets many glares from security guards.

I hear lots of voices coming form inside the green rooms. I wish I could be one of them. I sit in the farthest back chairs of the balcony. It is impossible to see me from the stage. I see Tyler and some girl rehearsing. I will have to look her up. I think her name is Hannah. I resist the urge to yell at him and act like a crazed fan. Which I would be had I not met him. I find myself playing 2048 and listening to the ever changing voices that come on stage. I don't want to ruin whatever experience I may have this weekend.  Several hours pass in what feels like minutes and in frustration of not reaching 2048 I throw my phone down in my lap. The main stage is currently empty and I begin to let my eyes drift shut.

"Tonnie?" I hear a voice echo. "Tonnie, where you at?"

"Ton? Come out, come out where ever you are." The second voice no doubt belongs to Trevor.

I push my self up out of the chair and walk down the stairs to the ledge. "What do you want you flops?" I groan leaning down.

"There you are!" Trevor looks up. He is holding a box of something. "Come on. It's time to go!" He gestures with his arm to come down. I walk down the back stairs through a hall and meet them by the front entrance.

"Alrighty then let's go." I whip my keys out of my back pocket.

"God, I thought you were more high speed."

"Oh shut up-" Is he for real? I shoot him a look.  "-Jc."

"Nah, Ton, I'm good." He chuckles.
