For the last night we stay in New York, I plan to take Mia out for a nice date, then the three of us will get back home by tomorrow afternoon. We'll leave a little early in the morning so we don't waste much daylight over there. This sort of trip and tour of Manhattan wasn't that bad afterall. I imagined it worse, but I guess you just get used to all the excessive noise and people around you. It was interesting being in Mia's shoes before and after high school.

"The food is really great here!" I say as Mia looks up from her phone, putting it down and smiles.

"I knew you'd like it! I'd bring Grandma and Madison here usually every other Friday after I made enough money in two weeks at the bookstore, and have a fancy dinner together!" Mia says, watching me eat the rest of my dish since she finished about five minutes ago; waiting on me.

Ever since yesterday, and her friend calling me her husband, I couldn't peacefully sleep last night without thinking of how and when I should propose. I don't want to scare Mia away in any way, which I don't see it happening, but I'm not sure where she's it. She acted weird after her friend labeled me as her husband. On top of that, Mia even told her Grandma yesterday about considering not to be a lawyer, and that gave me quite a shock. I'll eventually talk to her about her career choices, and hopefully she won't have to go to UCLA afterall!

"So...we forgot to talk about yesterday! I'm your husband? Not your boyfriend anymore? I'm a little confused! I was never aware of that!" I tease Mia as she blushes and covers her eyes with her hands, cutely laughing.

"I can see you saying that to others, it's cute, and I'm perfectly fine with it! I'll start telling all the men that'll try snatching ya waist that you're my wife! I promise you, when the time is right, you're gonna be my wife and I'm going to be your husband, for real! You always claimed the wifey material spot in my life from the start! The first time we laid eyes...I just knew one day we'll be closer friends, and eventually more once I got myself out of that horrible, unfaithful relationship!"

Mia began to look kinda down and upset after me bringing up Rachel into the conversation, knowing how much pain, shit, and trouble she caused for us throughout high school  It probably ruined tonight's vibe by mentioning her, so I had to change up the subject to get her in a better mood after the moments of silence we have.

"What type of wedding do you want?
At a Church? A Beach? Park? Here in New York? Tell me what you want baby! I need to know! I can make anything and everything happen if you tell me what's on your mind about it!"

Mia's face lightens up, with her pearly whites not fading away. Great! She's so stunning when her eyes glow up and her adoring personality shines through. Mia excitedly tells me exactly how she wants, well, what we've always wanted according to our book, and how beautiful the special day will be when it arrives.

"....you know what, I'm ashamed of myself for being so nervous and weird when my friend described you as my husband in front of you! You practically always have been, but it's just not of paper or official yet! However, I wasn't sure if your sweet, strong feelings from the boy you were in high school were all still there for me when we reconnected at the party and Nicki's set up for us to talk. I was worried when my friend repeated my words unexpectedly to you from a while back, and it'd scare you away! I thought you would of said I was crazy! But now, I'm so freakin' excited!" Mia squeals and claps her hands together happily, concluding her excitement for the marriage discussion we had as I finish up my food.
