"C'mon, it's finneee. It'll be fun!" I encouraged but Castiel wasn't having any of it.
He was standing at the edge of the ice rink as I glided gracefully across the crystal-like ground below. I was aware that I was showing off a bit, parading my peacock feathers as it were. However, seeing Castiel's gobsmacked face and adoring eyes made it all worth it.
It was just the two of us on the rink, as most people were busy Christmas shopping or fighting the city's traffic. When we arrived, Castiel spent about twenty minutes trying to get his skates on, and enough five just trying to stand up.
"N-No, it's okay. I'll just watch from here." He replied timidly and focused on remaining upright on his "god-forsaken ice skates", holding onto the barrier around the rink as he wobbled. "Who would've thought it would be this hard to simply stand?" He murmured.
I mockingly frowned at him and slowly slid across the ice dramatically. Castiel giggled and stepped a little closer. That was when I hatched a plan. I glanced at him for but a moment, a sheepish and surely mischievous grin appearing on my lips as I skated towards him.
Castiel eyed me suspiciously, like a deer caught in headlights.
"Alright, that's fine," I told him. "But at least come a little closer so you can watch me properly!" I suggested and he pondered me for a second.
"O-Okay," He agreed and literally only just reached the edge of the rink when I saw it dawn in his eyes.
He gasped as I picked him up effortlessly and brought us to the middle of the ice. Only then did I set him down, holding his arms as I cackled at his shocked expression.
"You kidnapper—!" He breathed but a chuckle betrayed him, escaping his lips. We stood there for a bit, Castiel clutching onto his now-smirking 'kidnapper' like I was his lifeline, with no means of getting back to the safety of the non-slippery ground. "You absolute total ass, Theodore Edwards!" Castiel exclaimed, nearly toppling over in the process, which merely earned him raucous laughter from me; my heart soaring as I got to glimpse a new side of the little angel. A more confident side.
"Never should've told you my full name. That was a grave mistake wasn't it, mister White?" I remarked and he pouted. Two can play at that game! "Seems like someone has quite the tongue on them. I'm sure it will come in hand—"
I was interrupted by him hitting my arm with all his might... which turned out to be a massive mistake as he ended up slipping and falling on his arse; right into the icy ground below. In the process, pulling me down on top of him.
We were sandwiched together, like two strips of dough and panting heavily as we giggled wholeheartedly.
"G-Get off! I can't move!" He breathed and I bit my lip, looking at his flustered face below me. "Theo, what are you—?"
With a smirk, I twisted us over so he was laying on top of me. Castiel yelped, momentarily stunned.
"You're right, it's so much better with you on top."
I wiggled my eyebrows and he flushed bright red, swatting my chest as he groaned in embarrassment. I caught his hands and winked, causing him to hide his face in my leather jacket.
"Oh my god, stopppp!" He begged and smiled.
I released him with a chuckle.
"Okay, okay," I conceded and clambered to my feet, extending a hand out to Castiel. He eyed it cautiously, understandably. "How about I actually teach you how to skate?"
With a shy smile, he took a deep breath and nodded.
"A-Alright," He said and took my hand. "Deal."
I pulled him up, and he wobbled on his feet.
