"Hey, you hungry?" I called out from across the dining room table, over the mound of yet-to-be-wrapped presents on the table.

Castiel poked his head around it, nodding.

"I am, actually," He confessed.

Cas and I were sat at my dining table on yet another snowy day in Aiwiy as he helped me wrap presents. I was rather hopeless at it, unsurprisngly, and as the days flew by in the approach to Christmas Day I was running out of time. Not that the advent calendars were counting down, mind you, since we ended up scoffing them on the day of purchase. Cas, on the other hand...

"You're amazing at wrapping!" I praised as he managed to wrap two presents in the space of a few minutes whilst I was still trying to detangle myself from the stupid sellotape.

"My mum taught me how to do it," He explained and I walked over to him. "Here, you can help with this one and then we can get something to eat." He gestured for me to get closer and scooted over on the chair, leaving room for me to perch on it slightly. He blushed a little from the proximity and I leaned into him a bit, enjoying the warmth.

It was a set of glasses I'd bought for my mother, after failing to settle on any books she'd like.

"Okay, what do I do?"

"Well, we need enough paper to wrap them." He rolled out some wrapping paper and grabbed the box of glasses. "We place them roughly in the middle of the paper, like so..." He set them down carefully and turned to me. "Now, make sure there's enough paper on either side so it can overlap slightly in the middle."

I did as he instructed and evened out it out, lining it up as best I could and checking to see if it would meet.

"Like this?"

"Yup!" Cas smiled. "Then, we cut off what we need from the roll." He handed me the scissors. "Remember, keep enough to overlap like we measured out." I nodded and began snipping away at the paper. "Do you want to try and glide the scissors?"

I bit my lip and nodded enthusiastically.

"Oh my god, yes!" I exclaimed. He giggled and gently placed his hands on mine, adjusting them so the scissors were open slightly.

Oh my goodness they're so soft!

"If you make it so the paper is pulled taut," I gave him a blank expression. "Make it tight..." He explained and I hummed in understanding, using my free hand to make it as stretched as possible. "Now, instead of closing the scissors, just push them forward."

I gave him an unbelieving look.

"I dunno, I've never been able to—" Scrrrr. The blades glided forwards seamlessly, giving the most satisfying sensation and sound. "OH MY GOD, I DID IT!"

Cas clapped happily and grinned.

"You did!"

With that important item on my bucket list of life ticked off, I cut away the excess and Cas took away the roll of paper. Then, he guided me in folding the paper around the books held down the flaps.

"Could you tape this down for me?" He asked and I nodded, cutting a strip of sellotape and lowering pressing it onto the area. "Um, Rudolph, that's my finger..."

"Sorry!"

He lifted his finger away and I smoothed the tape over it. Eventually, and after a lot longer than it would have taken Cas alone, the books were wrapped. It was pretty neat, not perfect but far better than any other wrapping I'd done.

"So, what do you want to eat?" I queried and got to my feet.

"We could... bake something?" Cas suggested and I halted. "It's just, you mentioned liking baking at the café but said you didn't want to do it alone."
