Chapter 7

Cindy's POV

"Wow New York looks so good from up here." I whispered to Henry as I looked out the window of the plane.

"It's beautiful," he whispered back.

We put our seatbelts on as we were about to land. I felt excited and overwhelming knowing the fact that I'm going to study here. My aunt was going to pick us up from the airport so she was probably waiting for us at the airport already.

We got into my aunt's car and she started driving. She didn't have a husband because he died in a car accident and she also didn't have children.

"How was your flight?" she asked both of us

"It was good, tiring but good," Henry responded since I was too tiered to talk.

"Alright well I will drop both of you at the house and dinner is in the fridge. I have a night shift today."

My aunt was a chef and one of the best ones in Manhattan too. She had her own successful restaurant.

I headed upstairs after having dinner and Henry suggested to clean up. My ass hurt so much from sitting imagine being in a 13hour flight. It was only 7pm here and I wanted to have a bath. I filled the bathtub with water and put some bubblebath soap. It was flavored roses and it smelt exactly like one. I plugged my earphones and played my music really loud. I closed my eyes and tried to relax. Henry came inside the bathroom.

"Join me," I said and gave him a flirty wink.

The bathtub was big it can fit 3 people. Henry took his shirt off and held a bottle of wine.

"I have a present for you beautiful."

He held out a box and I opened it. OMG another pendant and it was beautiful! He always knows what to get me.

"What is it for?" I asked putting on the pendant on my Pandora bracelet that he gave me.

"To congratulate you," he said hopping into the bathtub with 2 glasses of wine.

"you didn't have to. I love it!" I said giving him a kiss.

We just stayed in the bathtub and talked for a bit. When I looked at the time on my phone it was already 10pm.

We both decided to get ready for bed.

"awh rats!!! I forgot my jammies." I whined.

I brought only clothes for outing not for inside the house it would be uncomfortable wearing a dress or skinny jeans to bed.

"I have a spare T-shirt in my bag babe," Henry said as he was brushing his teeth.

I look at his bag and took out his shirts.

"What colour?" I asked

Any of those will be okay," he said heading into the bedroom

I put on his T-shirt and it was huge on me, almost like a dress. The sleeve on my right shoulder kept falling off so I just let it stay like that.

"You look so sexy on those I dont think I'll ever let you get to sleep tonight," he said holding my waist.

I slapped him on his bicept, "Don't be silly,"

we both giggled and hopped onto the bed. Henry tucked me inside the blanket and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"You will do good tomorrow," he whispered. Then we both fell asleep.

2:30am

HENRY'S POV

I woke up because I heard Cindy murmuring. Is she awake? I looked at her but her eyes were closed and she was also sweating. The air-conditioning was on and it was pretty chilly.

"No!" Cindy said. She was sleep talking

This is the first time I've ever heard her sleep talk.

I shrugged her shoulders slightly to wake her up but she wasn't responding.

"Cindy honey," I was so scared, I shook her harder. This time she woke up and she sat up. She breathed really hard.

I looked at her and cupped her face and turned her face towards me. I turned the lamp on and looked straight at her eyes.

"Cindy baby, it's only a dream. I'm here," I whispered I cuddled her so tightly. I could feel her heart beating very fast. I wiped her sweat and gave her a glass of water that was on the bedside table.

"You were," she breathed "we were in an accident and y-you were hurt pretty bad and....."

I hushed her and rubbed my hands on  her back with my hands. She hugged me closer and tighter.

"I thought I lost you," she sobbed.

I played her down beside me still not letting her go. She rolled on top of me and cuddled me. I didn't sleep until I saw her sleeping. I couldn't put her back down beside me, she looked so comfortable and cute so I let her sleep on top of me.
