The next day they were off, the other members agreed after some convincing, but they still grumbled. Levy watched as Gajeel walked along with them, determined and extremely attractive, as usual. When he looked over at her she looked away, blushing slightly. He smirked to himself, grateful for the attention of the only person in the Guild who accepted him.

As they came to their destination, Levy explained, “a farmer out here needs us to take care of something that keeps eating his livestock, he said it should be around here, so stay aware,” she said.

Suddenly the ground shook as a giant worm with a mouth full of large, threatening teeth came up from the ground. It roared as it went right for Levy.

“Levy!” Gajeel yelled as he went in between her and the monster.

He held off the monster, holding on to its ginormous jaw as it attempted to eat him. The other members attacked it, trying to slow it down. They weren't very successful, and after the monster realized how it's effort was in vain it swatted its tail at Levy, Jet, and Droy. They flew about ten feet before landing with a thud. It thrusted him back, pushing him into the ground and he worked to keep its mouth open. Gajeel rolled and shoved the monsters head in the ground. Unprepared for the blow, the monster scrambled until Gajeel hit it with one final blow. He ran to Levy to find her unconscious, a concerned Jet and Droy over her.

“I got her,” Gajeel said, picking her up before heading home.

“Thank you,” Jet said.

“Don't mention it,” Gajeel replied.

By the time the two stumbled into Levy’s apartment, it was almost midnight. Gajeel immediately went to get ice for Levy’s aching head.

“Are you sure you don't have a concussion?” he asked as he held it to her head.

“I'll be fine Gajeel, this isn't my first rodeo,” she explained.

“Fine, it's your head,” he shrugged.

“I can deal with my head injury, you, however, are all scratched up,” she fretted, going to grab gauge and bandages.

“It's not that bad,” he said.

“Still, your back is bloody and your hands at least need some bandages,” she explained from the bathroom

“Fine,” he said as he took off his shirt.

As she walked in she obviously wasn't prepared to come across his shirtless form and stopped, her face glowing a bright pink.

“You're the one who wants to play nurse, so go for it.”

She gulped, cleaning the wounds before placing bandages on the bloody cuts.

“Now I need your hands,” she said.

“They're not that bad,” he said as he kept them closed.

“Come on, Gajeel, I'm trying to help you here,” she said.

“Okay fine,” he said as he finally opened his hands. The inside of his fingers were covered in a layer of dried blood and the teeth of the monsters had dug into his hands, leaving wounds behind.

She did the same as she did with his back, cleaning the wounds before wrapping them in gauze.

“There, you're done,” she smiled.

He sighed, “Thank you,” he grumbled.

“Anytime,” she said as she went to put the supplies away.

When she came back he leaned down and kissed her, meekly, innocently. She kissed him back as the kiss grew more fiery. He slipped his hand under her shirt and rested it on her back as he pulled her closer. She dug her fingers into his back, desperate for more physical contact. Suddenly a knock on the door interrupted the passionate interaction. The pulled apart, Gajeel sunk into the corners of her room as she answered the door.
