As he walked along the lone path all he could think of was Levy and getting back to her, until he heard the sound of footsteps behind him. That would have been normal except for the fact that it was after dark. And when he stopped to check the footsteps stopped as well. As he continued on his way he could have sworn they started again. But he was too tired to mess with it, he knew that if he had to fight against whatever was fighting him, he'd win anyway. Eventually the footsteps stopped and he knew he was no longer being followed.

When he finally got back, Levy wasn't there yet, and he knew she'd be exhausted due to the late hour. He quickly set up a warm bath with rose petals and candles. As she walked in a few minutes later, it was obvious it was the right call.

“Levy? I have a surprise for you in the bathroom,” he said, smiling.

“I might be too tired for it,” Levy replied as she yawned.

“This is because you're tired, just go in there and make sure to relax, okay?” he asked.

“Okay,” she smiled as she listened to his directions.

However, Gajeel faced another problem, his hair. After a job, his hair did a great job of collecting random things he had come across and was very knotted. He ran a brush through it, slowly, but the knotted parts were a giant pain, as usual, so it required some aggression. As Levy walked out of the bathroom wearing a robe, he continued to work through it.

“I'll help,” Levy said as she grabbed the brush and sat on the bed, motioning for him to sit on the floor in front of her. “This is why I wear my hair short,” she replied as she attempted to tame his mane of hair.

After initially brushing through it, she pulled it up into a ponytail.

“There, now it will be easier,” she said.

“Okay, whatever you say,” he shrugged.

Afterwards the two got into bed, unaware of the dangers to come.

The next morning was a Saturday, and neither of them had any jobs.

“Maybe we should eat in the Guild hall,” Levy offered, “I need something different from what we eat every day.”

“Okay, I mean, should we eat together though?”

He thought about it for a second, “Sure, I mean it's not a big deal, unless you don't want to,” he said.

“Yeah, that would be nice,” she smiled.

The two definitely turned heads as they walked in together. Even though they weren't holding hands, it was obvious the two had some connection.

As they ate the two constantly teased and made faces at each other, ignoring the rest of the world.

After eating, they went back to their room, smiling at each other the entire way.

After closing the door to their room, their lips met as Gajeel pulled Levy closer to him. It wasn't until someone cleared their throat that they realized they weren't alone. They separated, turning to face the table where Jet and Droy sat with their arms crossed.

“You two need to stop this,” one of them said demandingly.

“Guys, I don't need you to do this. It's my life,” she replied, crossing her arms in frustration.

“But people are gossiping about us because of you two,” Jet whined.

“Well deal with it, or you might lose yourself a group member,” she threatened.

They sat, quiet. Gajeel slumped into the corner, knowing he was the cause of the group drama.

Jet and Droy left the room, silently.
