Chapter 2: Max

When Max left the bathroom, Laurel waited for a minute before walking outside to look for Claire and Alex. The girls were dancing in the middle of the dance floor. Laurel bought a bottle of water before she walked over there and pulled them off the floor.
"Hey, your back." Alex slurred throwing an arm over Laurel her shoulder.
"Yeah, you never guess what just happened to me." Laurel began
"You accidently walked into the man's bathroom with your drunk head" Claire says before nipping at her drink.
"Well I'm only tipsy, but how did you know?" she asks taking a sip of her water.
"You're very predictable."
"Claire, that's not true."
"I have to agree with Claire." Alex says.
"Great friends you two are."
"You love us." Claire responded. Then her phone rang. Claire walked away to pick it up.

Alex looked at her watch "Who would be calling at this time."
"I have no idea." Laurel replied at the same time that Claire came back.
"What is going on Claire?"
"Jody, she wants us to head back for a case. Let's go" Claire tells us.
"Wait we aren't fit to drive right now." Alex responds.
"I only had one beer, so I'm good to drive." Claire replied before walking outside
"Girls, I'm not coming with you."
"Laurel why not?" Claire stopped in her tracks. We were outside the club right now.
"I need some more time before I get back."
"You know, it wasn't your fault." Claire began.
"I still don't have it under control."
"Are you sure about this?" Alex asks Laurel.
"Yeah, I will keep in contact with you girls, I won't go off the radar." Alex hugged Laurel tight
"Don't die." Claire says smiling before also hugging her. When they let go of each other Alex dragged her sister after her.

"So where are you friends off to?" a voice suddenly says in Laurel her ear, she jumped at the sudden sound and hit him in the face with her elbow. "ouch that hurts. I see you are not as tipsy as you was earlier this evening." His voice replied. She turned around and looked in the eyes of Max.
"I drank some water. Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine." He replied rubbing his jaw "you have good reflexes."
"Yeah I was trained by my parents."
"Max, who is that?" a girl says walking towards them.
"Alicia this is Laurel." Max replied.
"Nice to meet you, girlfriend I guess." Laurel says shaking her hand. They began laughing.
"No he is my twin brother." Alicia replied smiling.
"Oh I'm so sorry."
"It's fine." Max says smiling.
"Well I think it is time for me to go." Laurel replied a bit awkward.
"Wait can I have your number." Max asks. Alicia glanced at her brother and then at Laurel before walking away with a smile.
"Yeah sure." Laurel says putting her number in his phone. "Text me."
He smirked before walking after his sister. Laurel smiled and made her way over to the motel.
