Chapter 18: making our own plan

"Why can't they just let us help them?" Laurel says angry.
"That is just how parents are, they do not want to put their children in danger." Alicia says plopping down on Laurel her bed.
"What if we help them behind her back?" Laurel says with twinkling eyes.
"That is a bad idea." Jack responds to his niece.
"Jack I understand that it is difficult for you, but I can't stay here and do nothing while my family is in danger."
"Laurel, I get it, I really do but like I said I can't kill him."
"You told uncle Sam that you saw Castiel as your father, if I remember correctly." Laurel began.
"I did and I still do, But I don't want to kill someone again." He says looking at the ground.
"I'm sorry jack, you know I will never ask that from you, but I need you to cover for me."
"How?" he asks looking up at Laurel.
"You need to let the others who will stay behind believe that I am here."
"I can do that." Jack smiled

"You're not going." Max says.
"You can't stop me." Laurel replies walking to him.
"Okay, but then I am going with you." He says taking a step closer to her.
"I can protect myself." She tells him biting her lower lip.
"Oh I know, but I won't take the change."
"Max, This is going to be dangerous."
"That is exactly why I am coming with you, Laurel"
"Fine, but no distractions." She replied.
"Why? do I distract you?" Max asks seductively.
"No.o.o" Laurel stumbled.
"Keep telling yourself that." He says leaning in. At that moment Alicia cleared her throat. Two gazes immediately snapped towards her. Laurel her eyes met Jack and she saw him winking at her.
"Find a room, you two." Alicia says with a small smile before standing up. "So when do we leave?"
"You're not going." Max replied.
"Max, I am not a child I can make my own decisions." She shot back at him.
"Alicia, please stay here and help Jack." He replied
"I want to help too." She says walking towards Laurel. "Please, Laurel let me come with you."
Laurel bite her lip, thinking about the changes of the three of them. Her eyes met those from Max.
"I would love to have you help us, but I think they will notice it if only Jack stays behind." Laurel responded. Alicia her smile left but not much later it was back.
"Of course, how stupid of me." She says hugging Laurel before whispering in her ear "I know you want some alone time with my brother." She then let go of Laurel. Laurel looked at her with red cheeks, Alicia winked at her before she went to sit next to Jack. Jack slightly blushed when Alicia went to sit. He wandered his gaze to the ground. Laurel smiled at the sight of Jack who was apparently having a crush on Alicia. Then they heard Bobby call them from downstairs. They all went downstairs where everyone was geared up and ready to go. Laurel saw that Jody and the others had come back. Laurel ran to Claire and Alex and pulled them in for a hug, telling them to be careful and to call her if they need back up. Claire nodded and Alex promised. Then she hugged her uncles, Eileen, Jo and Bobby. She walked to her mom and dad before crushing them in a hug. Castiel rubbed his daughters hair and Maeve hold her tight. Laurel pulled back before wishing them good luck and warning them to come back in one piece. "We love you." Castiel says.
"I love you two too." Laurel replied. Maeve kissed her forehead before they all walked into battle.
