Jungkook's nose was starting to turn red after standing in the brisk winter wind for too long. He rubbed his hands together while shoving his head into his thick scarf, he had stood looking through the window of a small coffee shop right after he had been released from his classes. His tears froze onto his face as he continued to stare at the couple laughing and enjoying each other's presence, after a while longer of "spying" the male, his best friend Taehyung, stood up and grabbed the female's bag.

Jungkook quickly ducked away before hearing the bell ring, signaling that the couple had probably left the store.

"Just give up already Taehyung will never like you. You haven't even come out of the closet yet.", he whispered to himself.

Jungkook spent the next few hours of his free time strolling around the park, it was a quiet night and the park was filled with couples. A small smile appeared on his face as he imagined him and Taehyung strolling along the pathways together. The smile quickly disappeared when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Hey kookie what are you doing here?", it was Taehyung's girlfriend.

Jungkook looked up at the couple, putting on a fake smile to disguise the sadness. All of the fake happiness was slowly breaking him, he knew he would snap one day but he had to do it for his "friend". Jungkook never saw Taehyung as a friend, when they first met at college Jungkook was mesmerized at Taehyung's seemingly perfect face.

"I just came out to relieve some stress", Jungkook replied.

"Why are your eyes red? Were you crying?"

"No, why would I ever need to cry when my life is perfect at the moment.", he lied again, widening his smile to convince the two.

"Ok well we're going to continue with our date. Don't get sick kook", Taehyung said before dragging his girlfriend away.

Jungkook nodded before retracing his steps and heading back to his dwelling. Head hanging he took of his shoes before sliding into his bed. Thoughts circled his mind as he attempted to fall asleep, eventually after a while of rolling around and sobbing Jungkook managed to cry himself to sleep. He followed this routine almost daily, it seemed like the only way for him to sleep was to tire himself with depressing thoughts.

He tried many times to get the thoughts out of his mind, he also tried many times to push back his feeling for Taehyung. He loved the man so much and he was happy his friend was able to find love but he still couldn't let go of his feelings. Seeing her baby boy always so restless and tired in the morning made Jungkook's mom worried, she tried many times to get him to speak about his problems but he was afraid. He was afraid that if he ever voiced out what was going on inside his brain he wouldn't be accepted by his family anymore.

The next morning it was the same Jungkook woke up with his shirt drenched in sweat as his body shook from fear. Just like every other night Jungkook had dreams about being left behind by his loved ones. He wanted everyone to know about his little crush on Taehyung but he was scared that he would be rejected. He had the thought of confessing many times but seeing Taehyung so happy with his girlfriend he didn't want to step in and ruin anything for the two.

"Hey Jungkook are you ok?", his mom questioned walking into the room.

"Yeah I'm fine"

He clearly wasn't fine, without noticing tears had already fallen from his eyes onto his white sheets. The shaking that he had awoken with grew more and more violent. Jungkook's mother quickly rushed over to his bed, placing her hand on his back before rubbing it gently.
