I walked into (Y/n) and I's room.

I was excited to tell her the good news.
"(Y/n)-chan! I have some good news for you! How's your head feel?" I asked, switching on the lights.

She wasn't there.

There was a note on our bed. I hurried to it, dropping my phone in the process.

'Suzuya Juuzou. We have your girlfriend,
(L/n) (Y/n). If you try to come after her, we'll kill her. What? Did you expect us to want a ransom? I'm not even telling you where we are or what we want her for. But just know, it won't be too fun for (L/n)-kohai...'

I smiled. "Stupid Aogiri Tree. They think I need information to find them. If, when I get there, they've harmed a hair on my (Y/n)-chan's head, I'll kill them."

I put my phone in my pocket and headed out the door.

"I'm coming for you, Ayato..." I grinned.

I got there quickly. It was easy really. I just had to follow the scent of (Y/n). No, I'm not a ghoul. I'm just someone who likes the smell of my best friend, and sniffs her as she sleeps.

"Why hello, Rei." A man said. I looked closer and saw him.

"I actually go by Juuzou now. So where's my (Y/n)?"

Ayato laughed. "Your (Y/n)? She's mine now."

I immediately pulled out my quinque. "Really? Because 13's Jason and I beg to differ..."

I swiped at him with the scythe, leaving a huge cut on his arm.

"Augh!" He screamed. "You cross-dressing brat!"

I laughed. "Want some more? 'Cause you'll get more if I don't get my sweet (Y/n)-chan..."

He grinned wickedly. "If you can find her in 5 minutes, she's yours. Me and the other members of the Aogiri Tree are leaving. The bomb will go off in 5 minutes. Clock's ticking, Rei-chan..." And he left.

"Dang it!" I hissed and ran further into the building. I had to find (Y/n) now!

"(Y/n)!" I called. "It's me, Juuzou! I'm here to rescue you!"

I heard whimpering and crying from a room nearby. It sounded like someone trying to speak, who just couldn't.

It sounded like (Y/n)-chan's voice.
"Here I come to save the day!"

I ran in and saw her in chains in a dark room. She was bleeding from her sides and sitting on the floor.

I slashed the chains and picked her up. I heard beeping from the loud speaker above.

5 minutes is up.

I jumped out the window. We fell about 14 feet, but I shifted her above me so that I could cushion her fall.

I fell on my back. I quickly scrambled onto my feet, (Y/n) in my arms and ran as quick as I could away from the building. When the explosion went off, I was thrown towards the street. I shielded (Y/n)'s body from flying debris.

When we got home, the medic tried to take
(Y/n) from me. I didn't let him.

I ran upstairs and treated to her wounds myself. I took out my red thread from my pocket and started to stitch up her wounds. She seemed a little bit better afterwards, and her wound healed... surprisingly fast.

"What did they do to you, (Y/n)?" I asked. She was crying.

"I... I don't know... I'm sorry, Juuzou..."

I was, at this point, crying with her. I hugged her and she put her chin on my shoulder. We stayed like that for a while.
