When Juuzou came back with my drink, he helped me up and onto my bed.
He kissed my forehead again and gave me my coffee.

I blushed. "I know we're friend now, Juuzou... but friends don't really kiss each other."

"They do!"

"Now, who gave you that idea?" I swear, if he says Shinonara...

He pulled out his phone and showed me something he'd been watching.

I giggled a little, "Dude, why are you watching a yuri anime?!"

"Why can't we be like that?"

"Because we're not Haruka and Yū..."

"Why can't we do that? We don't have to start dating or anything!"

I sighed. "Juuzou, why do you even want us to be like that?"

"Because I love you, of course! I always want to kiss you! But you're too independent to be in love with me!"

I blushed. "Tch. If that's what you want, fine. Go ahead."

Juuzou smiled and pulled me into a kiss. Then he let go and smiled. "Your lips taste like chocolate!"

I smirked. I already kinda knew that. I had the same diet as Mello. "Is that a good thing?"

He nodded. "Yep!"

I stood up and walked to the door, putting my hair into my (F/c) baseball cap. Juuzou stared at me, confused. It made me nervous, thinking I got the date wrong. "I-Isn't it... quinque day?"

Juuzou had the 'oh yeah!' expression on his face, making me giggle. He grabbed his bag and followed me down to the quinque room.

•••

"We're here!" Juuzou yelled, picking me up, throwing me over his shoulder, and running to the man in the room.

The man smiled and chuckled a little bit, seeing the way Juuzou treated me. "Hey now, Juuzou. Is that any way to treat a lady?"

Juuzou looked around. "I don't see any ladies. It's just me and (Y/n)."

The man gave me a look of pity, but he was obviously amused.

I sighed. "Juuzou, put me down. It makes me uncomfortable that your face is in such close proximity to my butt."

Juuzou nodded and dropped me. "Ouch! Juuzou! Why did you drop me like that?!"

"Sorry!" He said, putting his hands up in defense.

The quinque guy motioned for me to come closer to the table covered by a white sheet.
When I did, he pulled the white sheet off, revealing... gloves?

I picked up the gloves. "I think this is the wrong room. Sorry." I put down the gloves and got ready to walk away, when I hand grabbed mine.

I turned around. It was the man. "No, this is your quinque."

"Gloves?"

"Put them on." He instructed.

I did as told. They were simple (F/c) gloves.

He pointed to a dead ghoul body across the room. "Pull a Spider-Man on him. Pretend you can shoot webs."

I blushed, embarrassed of something stupid I haven't even done yet. "Alright." I did it. Tiny needles shot out of the tips of my fingers and latched onto the ghoul's body. "Whoa! Cool!"

The man grinned. "Impressive, eh? Those needles are small, but they are made to stick into ghoul bodies and stay there until the wearer of the gloves wants to release them."

"That's so cool. How'd you do that?"

"Science, my dear."

Juuzou frowned. I have him the 'really, bruh?' look and he blushed and looked away.

The man cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable. "Now press your thumbs together."

I did. My fingers shot out little red light beams. Like those cool cat lasers. "What's this for? A disco?"

"Well, you're aiming is better than any other CCG member, but if you were to lose strength or be poisoned, your aim and sight may become blurry. This is to use only if you're having trouble aiming the needles. But please be aware that it's not very helpful if you're planning to sneak attack ghouls."

"Got it." I pressed my thumbs together again, pleased when the lasers turned off.

"Also, those needles, if you've noticed, have stings connecting them to your gloves. And since those strings are so thin, no one will see them. Basically, you can use dead ghoul bodies as puppets. I feel that may be helpful at some point."

"Thank you. That sounds like fun."

"And don't worry about control. The strings will pull the needles back into the gloves if you want them to, because they respond to your brain waves."

"Hmm. Sounds good." I wanted the needles back, and the strings pulled them back into my fingers.

"Best of all, since these aren't too flashy or risky to wear all the time, you don't need a case or bag to hold them. You just wear them wherever you go. If you need to take them off, you can just put them in your purse or something."

"True. I don't see the point of getting a suitcase or a bag for one pair of gloves anyways."

"Good. Now... let's begin, shall we?"
