(A/N: The Underlined Part means they're speaking in English.)

Well, school was no fun.

Yeah, we're not going back there. All work and no play makes us pretty unhappy. Plus, the amount of insecurity you gain when you look at pretty people is insane.

And, unfortunately, Juuzou also gained that insecurity.

Juuzou.

The number one person you could count on to not care about his appearance. "(Y/n), do you think I should dye-"

"No! Of course not! You have so much to live for! Don't let some stupid popular girls at school drive you to suicide! I love-"

"You didn't let me finish. Do you think I should dye my hair?"

"Your... hair? You want to dye it?", you frowned and ran your fingers through his silly white hair, "But... I like it white..."

"I know, but-"

"This isn't because you got picked on at school, right?"

"No. That triggered it, but then I realized that I would actually like to dye my hair."

You sighed, "Juuzou, let's go get your hair dyed."

He smiled and hugged you, "Let's go get it dyed in a different country! That way it'll mean something special whenever I look at my new hair!"

"What colour do you want anyway?"

"Black! The opposite of white!"

"Welcome to New York, Juuzou. It's an American state."

"It's not too different from Tokyo, actually.", Juuzou smiled, "I like it."

You went to the closest salon you could find: a hair and nail salon. The owner of the building was there, straightening someone's hair. You greeted her.

I greeted the salon owner, "Hello. I don't have an appointment or anything, but could you squeeze us in for a hair dying?"

The woman looked confused.

She greeted me, "Kon'nichiwa. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla?".

I was confused.

Sure, she didn't actually say 'bla', but that's all I got from that. I don't exactly speak Chinese.

The girl seemed to understand my problem and tried to fix it.

'Shoot. I forgot that most Americans spoke English. Let me try...'

"U-Um... Hallo. I do not have an... strangle now but I would like to do for you... to throw out the garbage... yes?"

'Was that good? Did I say it right? I'm not sure...'

Juuzou walked up to the lady, "Hello~! We don't exactly have an appointment scheduled, but we would like very much for you to dye my hair! If you can squeeze us in, that is.", he spoke in perfect English.

I was shocked, "Juuzou! You know English?"

He looked back at me and said in English, "Yes!"

The girl seemed to struggle with her words, and ended up asking if she could take out my garbage. The boy, however, spoke in perfect English (but still had a very heavy accent). She asked him something in Chinese, and he replied with, "Yes!" in his heavy Chinese accent.

The boy looked at me again and spoke, "I'm sorry. She does not know a lot of English. We're from Japan, hence my probably apparent accent."

'Oh, Japanese. Not Chinese. Got it.'

I smiled at him, "Alright, then! I'll dye your hair for you, kid! Just sit down on any chair you like and relax!"

He did so and the girl walked up to me and bowed, probably to thank me.

"What's your name?", I asked her, smiling.

"Blu... Blue-berry?"

I laughed lightly and pointed to my name tag that said: 'Linda'.

She seemed to pick up and said, "(Y/n)."

I smiled at her again, "Beautiful name."

Xx_2nd Person P.O.V._xX

"Beautiful name", she told you.

You had no idea what that meant.

So, you replied with, "Turtle!", to say thanks, assuming she most likely complimented your name.

Juuzou giggled from the corner, "Linda, she doesn't speak English, remember?"

Linda nodded, laughing, "I know, but I thought she would understand that I complimented her."

"She did. She seems to get 'thank you' confused with 'turtle'."

You blushed, seeing Linda and Juuzou probably talking about you, and Juuzou laughing, "J-Juuzou! Don't be mean to me!"

He laughed, "I'm not being mean, (Y/n)-chan! I'm just telling the nice lady how stupid you are!"

"It's not stupid not to know English!"

"No, but it's stupid to go to another country without learning how to say thank you!"

"Maybe my friend knows how to speak with her...", Linda said.

Juuzou looked excited, "Really?! There are Japanese people here in America?!"

"He's not Japanese."

"Then how did he learn Japanese? A class in school? An online class?"

"I don't know if he actually speaks it, but he watches a lot of anime."

Juuzou cringed, and you got curious, "Juuzou, what'd she say?"

"She thinks her friend might know Japanese because he watches anime..."

You cringed, "Oh..."

Linda smiled, not knowing what you two were saying, "So, can I do your hair now? I'm free."

The girl who's hair she was straightening left the shop with flawless hair.

"Yes!", Juuzou replied and let Linda get her hair dye ready.

"So, what colour do you want?", Linda asked.

Juuzou looked over and smirked at you, "Go on, (Y/n). Tell her what colour I want."

You looked nervous, "U-Um... B-Black!"

Juuzou clapped and turned back to Linda, "You heard her. Let's do this black!"

•••

While Linda dyed Juuzou's hair, you were left to watch television. Linda and Juuzou wanted you to pick up at least three new English words from it.

When you saw Juuzou next, his hair was silky black. You jumped up from your seat, "Juuzou! You look amazing!"

"I know! Now... What words did you learn?"

Linda and Juuzou stared at you to see what you had picked up from watching television. You got nervous again, "D-Donald Trump President..."

Linda and Juuzou both sighed in shame. Linda patted your back, "Oh, you poor, poor child..."

Juuzou smiled at you, but you could tell it was a fake smile, "Well, at least you tried!"

You felt bad and repeated, "Donald Trump... President?"

Linda shook her head, looking pained by your words, "It's like teaching a monkey how to use tools."

When it was time to leave, Juuzou exchanged numbers with Linda, wanting to keep in touch. You both waved goodbye at the door and Juuzou walked out, getting into the car.

You smiled at Linda, "Turtle!", and you left.
