Chapter 10

Mulan's Pov

I was in the kitchen preparing the twins bottles for their lunch when the door opened. In walked Xavier.

I don't know why we gave him a key.

He came straight to the kitchen and sat at the island where I was standing. He looked like he was thinking very hard about something.

"What's up, you just walked into my house all silent and stuff" I asked

"I need your help with something very important" he said looking at me

"Okay what is it" I asked

He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small box. I set down what I had and picked up the box and opened it. I looked up at him and back down at the ring. Inside the box was  the cutest engagement ring Ive ever seen. I mean it ain't have nothing on Shawn's ring but it was still nice.

"Okay so what's the problem the ring is nice" I said closing the box and putting in back on the counter

"I don't know how to do it. I've never had Kiarah mad at me for anything. I don't even know how to bring this up to her." He said

"You don't know how to propose to the love of your life? You and Kiarah have been together longer than me and Shawn and we are already married! " I said

I don't understand that Kiarah and Xavier were together since she was in the ninth grade he was in the tenth. When she got in the eleventh grade he moved.

"I know but I feel like since I left Kiarah so long ago and when she was pregnant I feel like she's scared to reattach to me especially since I'm back and forth with work." He said

"Well what do you need me to do" I said

"I just need your guidance cause I don't want to lose her or have her reject me" He said

"Ok here is what I suggest take her on a romantic date to a nice restaurant and just talk to her see where her head and her heart is. If it seems like she isn't up for moving forward in the relationship put engagement on the back burner and work on fixing the little that y'all have left. " I said

"Ok I can do that but what about the kids" he asked

"I can keep them or I can see if I can get one of her sisters or moms to do it" I said

"Thanks Treasure your are really a life saver" he said

"Let me ask you a question real quick tho X" I said

"wassap" He said

"Why it take you so long to realize that you wanted Kiarah as your wife?" I asked

"You know the saying you never know what you have until it's gone. Well i didn't want it to be like that I want to know that I got her and that she got me before were gone. And plus I didn't start my own company to provide for someone who ain't my wife. I don't do the girlfriend ish anyway" he said

Hmm interesting I've never heard him talk like that before.

"See ya T" he said closing the door.

This is so new to me. I've never been a person to go to for feeling cause i tell the truth and sometimes I'm rude with it. I continued with preparing the bottles for the girls as well as some lunch for the twins. I cleaned up the kitchen as the kids ate. About three hours later Xavier was at my door with all his kids.

"Hey sorry i didn't call first I was just rushing" Xavier said

" Its cool have fun tonight and calm down" i said
