Chapter 13

Shawn's Pov

I woke up with slight irritation. It was Sunday, but something was different about this Sunday. I looked at my phone and saw a reminder for today's date. I sighed and cursed under my breath. Today was the day that my soon to be mother-in-law was due to visit. Now I love my mother in law but she does not love me. She knows that I am not the twins real father. But y'all that's not why she hates me. She dislikes me because she believes that I should have told Mulan in high school that i loved her and maybe she would not have dated Kevin and his crazy ass. My mom also believes i should have dated Mulan straight out of high school. I would have but Mulan wasn't checking for me. Mulan needed time to realize for herself if she liked me or not. No matter how hard i tried Mulan wouldn't let me know her feeling towards me. They had to be pried out of her. I remember that moment I realized i liked her. My whole world started to revolve around her. Every thought I had was altered.

Flashback begins

I had just been let out of class when I saw her and her bobble-headed ass friend walking down the hallway. I didn't wanna look like a creep but she was a sight to look at. She was too good looking. Shawty was bad. Her and Kiarah were walking towards me but not towards me. I moved over and continued to stare. Of course, her annoying ass best friend Kiarah saw and said something. I couldn't hear what she said but I saw her point at me. They walked past me and spoke. I've never heard Mulan actually speak, although she has a loud mouth. Kiarah knew me because we had some classes together and of course she was trynna get with my mans, Xavier. I mean every girl in this school wanted Xavier, but anyway.

"Hey Shawn" kiarah said

"hey where you headed" I asked not really caring but wondering if I'm bout to skip class and follow her cute best friend

"To go find someone" She said looking around

We all knew she was looking for Xavier. There was no way to hide it, even though she tries so hard.

"Girl go to class and stop stalking my mans" i said laughing

"I could say the same to you" she said nodding her head over to Mulan

"Man what ever get gone somewhere" i said laughing

"See you at the Pep rally?" she asked

"Why would I" I asked

"Mulan is performing. She's in the poetry club" She said grinning from ear to ear

A chance to see Mulan be greater that she really is and state at her continuously. Why would I pass that up?

"Guess so. I guess I can drag Xavier with me as well" I said

"Cool see ya then" She said walking away

"See ya" I said

"Bye Shawn" Mulan said as Kiarah pulled her away

My heart started to do things its never done before. My cheeks started to hurt. I couldn't stop smiling. Of course, someone had to say something about me smiling. That someone just happened to be Xavier.

"Who got you smiling like you got some" Xavier asked sitting next to me

I wasnt gonna answer him cause Xavier use to be a sever asshole and if i told him when he asked I would be dogged for it.

"its clearly a girl.......or is it a boy?" He asked

"Dont play with me like that bro" I said dropping my smile
